Formula One race reports

edit

Hi Wurstwicht. Thanks for the great work you are doing adding infoboxes to Formula One race report articles. Just a couple of little points in case you are planning to do any more in the future:

  • when linking "McLaren", it's preferable to just write "[[McLaren]]" rather than [[Team McLaren|McLaren]]", since Team McLaren is just a redirect to McLaren anyway, and
  • Once you have added the infobox, can you please remove the fastest lap and pole position information from the "Notes" section at the bottom of the page - it's not necessary to have the information in two places.

But apart from that - keep up the good work! Regards. DH85868993 (talk) 23:56, 15 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of 2003 World Championships in Athletics - Men's high jump

edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article 2003 World Championships in Athletics - Men's high jump, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Speedy deletion nomination of 2010-11 DFB-Pokal

edit

A tag has been placed on 2010-11 DFB-Pokal requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. You are now a Reviewer

edit

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 18:53, 17 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Autopatrolled

edit

Hello, this is just to let you know that I have granted you the "autopatrolled" permission. This won't affect your editing, it just automatically marks any page you create as patrolled, benefiting new page patrollers. Please remember:

  • This permission does not give you any special status or authority
  • Submission of inappropriate material may lead to its removal
  • You may wish to display the {{Autopatrolled}} top icon and/or the {{User wikipedia/autopatrolled}} userbox on your user page
  • If, for any reason, you decide you do not want the permission, let me know and I can remove it
If you have any questions about the permission, don't hesitate to ask. Otherwise, happy editing! HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 03:49, 18 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your great work! Keep it up. I have two suggestions/questions. When putting the results up can you source your work please (like I have done for the first day results. Secondly will you be putting up the B finals? If not I think we should just remove it all together. Thirdly, in the qualification section please make sure to put the correct times (they are listed on the main page). Re: your removal of the sortname template

edit

Hello.

Why did you remove the sortname template from FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2013 – Women's sprint? Without it, skiers will be sorted by their first names, not the last names. I had put a considerable effort into putting it there.

HandsomeFella (talk) 10:44, 21 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

I can see that you have removed it for the men's article too. Please stop removing other people's work for no good reason, or I will report you.
HandsomeFella (talk) 11:01, 21 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
Not using the sortname template is rather an unspoken convention, as there is no real use in sorting athletes by last name. Wurstwicht (talk) 11:13, 21 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
Citation needed. And when somebody's taken the effort of putting it there, there's really no good point at all in removing it. If you sort on skier, you don't want all Agnes's first, then all Anna's, etc.
I'll put it back – in contrast to your actions, without removing your content. Don't remove it again. HandsomeFella (talk) 11:35, 21 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

If you read the rules the final four sleds cannot be given to nations who already have a sled qualified, so south korea and france do not get two sleds but slovakia and croatia get one. 2019 European Athletics U23 Championships – Women's 800 metres moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, 2019 European Athletics U23 Championships – Women's 800 metres, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I Can See Your Voice (German game show)

edit

Hello Wurstwicht, I'm your contributor in related to international mystery music game show franchise, I Can See Your Voice. Sorry for your inconvenience because i can't watch ICSYVDE in TVNow because it is not available in my country, that is i'm lived in the Philippines.

I need a help to assist and contribute you for the German version of ICSYV.

In order to do make episode results, you have to:

  • Watch the whole show on RTL channel from 20:15 to 22:15; or
  • Visit "tvnow.de", then search "I Can See Your Voice", and after that you can now rewatch every episode.

During the show, write down the mystery singers' elimination order, and focus on the mystery singer's name and its alias name. i.e.

  • 4. Name (alias)
  • 2. Name (alias)
  • 6. Name (alias)
  • 1. Name (alias)
  • 7. Name (alias)
  • 3. Name (alias)
  • Winner: 5. Name (alias)

After that, you can now edit down these results on the episode list in the inaugural first season page. Note that templates {{yes}} (for good singer) and {{no}} (for bad singer) are sampled for you!

That's it and greetings. Makoy Canlas (talk) 12:28, 20 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please read WP:MOS

edit

Please read WP:MOS before adding results tables to articles. Any sport/event/discipline with 6 or less athletes = one table and NOT two separate by gender. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 21:12, 26 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

It's a stupid rule, though.

No its not. "In the case of a nation having more than six competitors in a given sport, this table may be further split into "Men" and "Women" results tables." [4] Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 22:23, 26 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Chile at the 2022 Winter Olympics, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. Belarus at the 2018 European Championships moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Belarus at the 2018 European Championships, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Autopatrolled and unreferenced articles

edit

There was a discussion at WT:PERM about a user whose autopatrolled flag I removed. Among other concerns, that user was creating unreferenced articles. To justify this sloppiness, the user then produced a list of unreferenced articles created by users who have the autopatrolled flag. 2022 UEC European Track Championships, recently created by you, is on this list. The affair has made its way to the Administrators' noticeboard so there may be further scrutiny going forward.

Please let me give a reminder what autopatrolled is for: this is a flag given to users who consistently create clean articles that do not require review by others. Should maintenance flags like "unreferenced" be required, this does not meet the requirements for autopatrolled. Could I thus ask you that you go please back to articles that you have recently created with a view of ensuring that any issues raised in maintenance tags (whether placed already or potentially needed) be addressed? And going forward, that you please ensure that new articles are clean so that they don't require review by others? Please feel free to ask questions. Here's good; please ping me if you do. Hi there. Thanks for adding the international goals table at Shon Weissman. Going forward, please use the standard table layout as outlined at Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Players. Hi there - Wikipedia relies on reliable sources to verify information, especially about living people. You didn't provide a source for your changes to the Rhys Norrington-Davies article, but I have found one and added it for you. Please try and remember to include sources yourself with future edits. please use edit summaries

edit

Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks!

I know that you've been asked to do this several times in the past and haven't made an effort to change. I hope you will consider how your contributions can better fit with the collaborative nature of Wikipedia. -- mikeblas (talk) 19:33, 11 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
