613 commandments

The list is ordered, you say. So change the order! But the verse is the one I said. I undid your undo and placed the verse in its correct place according to the order. Debresser (talk) 21:27, 25 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

  • It's okay. I just wondered whether this is arbitrary or fixed by Maimonides. See, there are many different passages for the same mitzvoth, but my question was if the passage from Genesis was fixed or can be changed. Please check that before you just change some passages - in doubt, revert the change, and set your passage as an alternative at the end of the mitzvoth. I checked this with other sources, of course. In addition it is also logical, based on the rule (laid down by the Rambam, by the way) that we fulfill the commandments not because of the deeds of and commandments to our forefathers, but because of the Divine commandments given at Sinai. Genesis is before that, while Leviticus is after that. Debresser (talk) 15:03, 26 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

The file File:Samaritian Pentateuch - BHS Apparatus Symbol.svg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Orphaned image, no context to determine possible future encyclopedic use.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --TheImaCow (talk) 11:23, 25 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
