Bot not reading WP:CUP submissions

I'm testing out using a template for submissions at Wikipedia:WikiCup/History/2010/Submissions/Gary King. However, your bot is not reading these submissions. Is it just checking for the "#" character at the beginning of a line? If so, then I'll just remove that from the template and add it in the submissions page instead. Web Slice

I would like to suggest that you add "web slices" to User:X!/RfX Report. This would make it more convenient for IE8 users.Smallman12q (talk) 03:44, 7 February 2010 (UTC)

Is that in use on Wikipedia anywhere? I know how it works, but I'm wondering if MediaWiki won't place its own divs around the webslice divs that would cause them to break. RfA Count: Problem with expiry date of Madhero88

The entry for Madhero88 is showing it as "EXPIRED", although it was only transcluded earlier today. Could it be corrected? -- PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 22:59, 7 February 2010 (UTC)

Note to X! - It seems that there are two things here that make the ending timestamp unique fron any other. The first one is that it is the only timestamp that follows the exact phrase "Scheduled to end". The second one is that it is the only timestamp that is in bold. So, to prevent the problem with the expiry date, why not have SoxBot look for the exact string "<!-- THIS TEMPLATE MUST BE REPLACED WITH THE CLOSING TALLY WHEN CLOSING THIS RFA -->; Scheduled to end" and either "(UTC)'''" or "'''<!-- CANDIDATE: PLEASE REMOVE THE <! -- AND -- > AROUND subst: IN THE PREVIOUS LINE (AS WELL AS THIS COMMENT) WHEN YOU ARE READY TO ACCEPT -->". If it finds the latter at the end, display a message that says the parser function needs to be substituted and if it finds the former, read the date as usual. The main point here is that having SoxBot just look for "end" and "(UTC)" is not enough as these strings are not unique throughout the whole page. The longer the search string, the less chance of an identical duplicate somewhere else. This way, there is no chance that the wrong date will be picked up. I have read the comments regarding the deletion of this page. I am trying to make the necessary additions/deletions to this page so that we can get it posted. I was wondering if you could provide some assistance? Based on the comments, this article was deleted because of the lack of third-party references. Are you looking for third party references about Jasen or about topics discussed in his articles? Would linking to other Wikipedia pages be helpful? Requesting a copy of deleted article

MyBulletinBoard was deleted because the article's content couldn't fulfill the notability requirements. I'd be thankful if you'd put a copy of the last version of the article in my user space (User:Huji/MyBulletinBoard), so I can modify it and prepare it for recreation in a way that is not subject to the same issues specified on its AfD. Thank you. I was looking at the article and I noted that the same reasons used for its AfD can apply to vBulletin too. I'm sure we should have articles about both of them, rather than deleting them both. While I'm trying to locate third party sources about both of them, I could use your advice about what else needs to be changed in those articles to ensure they're not going to be deleted because of notability concerns. huji—TALK 12:59, 15 February 2010 (UTC)

AFD 1563(number)

In itself, your close of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/1563(number) was fine. However, two problems have arisen. First, User:StAnselm kindly "merged" by putting the single numerical fact into 1000 (number) but your deletion has removed the redirect that should have been left for attribution. This must be a common problem and I am not sure what is supposed to happen. But, secondly, User:StAnselm's edit has been reverted without rationale in 1000 (number) and so two wrongs seem to have (subsequently) made a "right". If I reinsert the information, am I overturning a legitimate "delete"? Clearly, User:Arthur Rubin does not think the information is appropriate to the article and maybe he is right. Much of the AFD discussion related to there only being one mathematical property but this restriction does not apply in 1000 (number). Could you comment? Thincat (talk) 12:15, 22 February 2010 (UTC)

It would probably go against consensus, as most of the opinions expressed in the AfD said that it was not notable enough to warrent inclusion in Wikipedia. While they may not object to a merge, none of them specified it in the AfD and they may object. PErsonally, I would be fine with a merge, but I'm not sure about some of the others.
