Speedy deletion of Steve Chandler

edit

A tag has been placed on Steve Chandler requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. ArcAngel (talk) 23:00, 31 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Edit Request (Wednesday 10 February 2016)

Hi XDragon! Here's something about "NBA regular season records" article.

3 Team Records
 3.2 Season
  Best starts (number of losses)
  • 4: 46–4 by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 1966–67 season

The record counts the number of achieved wins when each loss has happened.
The 2015-16 season Golden State Warriors lost their fourth game on Saturday 16 January against the Detroit Pistons, with their record being 37W-4L.
The fact that they have a 10-0 streak since then does not mean they broke the Philadelphia 76ers record.
After all we're talking about "best starts" based on the "number of losses".

In contrary, if the Golden State Warriors win tonigth's game against Phoenix Suns (Wednesday 10 February), that means they can tie or brake Chicago Bulls' record of 48-5, because they will have already 48 wins before their 5th loss.
So at that point, they can be added to the next line as follows:

  • 5: 48–5 by the Chicago Bulls in the 1995–96 season
  • 5: 48-4 by the Golden State Warriors in the 2015–16 season (active - holder until next loss)

And if they win the next game against Portland Trail Blazers also (Friday 19 February), it must be edited as follows:

  • 5: 49-4 by the Golden State Warriors in the 2015–16 season (Holder until next loss. Previous record was 48-5 by the 95-96 Bulls)

I hope I helped. Take care! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:2149:8263:7700:6843:6BE8:3759:7AF4 (talk) 15:00, 10 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
