About the 'Reliable Sources'

I have edited 'Nana (manga)' page with actual 'Reliable Source' that is MyAnimeList but still that information was removed by a user @Xeress and i want to ask a question to this guy do you have any reliable source of that date which you've mentioned in Nana Wikipedia page? Please don't act like you've edited more pages means you can do whatever you want we also know what does a "Reliable Source" mean. Cosmo Sentinel (talk) 07:21, 14 July 2021 (UTC)

@Cosmo Sentinel: Check WP:A&M/ORS, there is a list of websites that are considered reliable for editing purposes. You can check that MAL was added to the Unreliable section. - Xexerss (talk) 07:25, 14 July 2021 (UTC)

Where can i find that list can you link it here in reply section? That would be helpful. Cosmo Sentinel (talk) 07:26, 14 July 2021 (UTC)

Oh sorry i didn't saw that you already mentioned it.Thanks btw. Cosmo Sentinel (talk) 07:27, 14 July 2021 (UTC)

@Cosmo Sentinel: No problem and please, note that I did not revert your edits to generate conflict, but Wikipedia does not allow original research, so try to add trustworthy sources before making changes or adding content. Cheers. - Xexerss (talk) 07:34, 14 July 2021 (UTC)

Sure I'll only add information from reliable source from now on. Cosmo Sentinel (talk) 09:08, 14 July 2021 (UTC)

@Cosmo Sentinel: By the way, if you have doubts about the reliability of a website not included on the list, you can directly ask on the talk page and also consider to check what kind of sources are questionable here on WP:QUESTIONABLE. - Xexerss (talk) 09:29, 14 July 2021 (UTC)

Darker than Black manga

By any chance did you read the two Darker than Black mangas? It's the only that Hei (Darker than Black) seems to be missing besides the English actor. I would read it but I think it might be better if another user better at English could write a better summary. Also, I thought about changing the episode list titles like you suggested but it seems to be need permission. In regards to the anime, I think every key staff member commented in the production section with the exception of Shotaro Suga although it might be impossible to find an interview from him considering he passed away in 2015. I requested the article of Darker than Black to be copyedited so I think it might have GA potential after its revision in case you are interested. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 23:56, 27 July 2021 (UTC)

@Tintor2: Sorry, I haven't read them, neither of the two. As always, perhaps there must be archived interviews from the staff, but the production section looks pretty good so far. I have no idea if there are more relevant stuff that could be added there. - Xexerss (talk) 00:15, 28 July 2021 (UTC)
@Tintor2: About the articles titles, it seems that the main issue is with Gemini of the Meteor. It seems that it needs WP:RM, but I haven't requested a move before, so I don't know how to proceed, I just know that the main reason to make the move would be WP:NCTV#List articles. - Xexerss (talk) 00:41, 28 July 2021 (UTC)

Forgot to tell you but Darker than Black was copyedited. I nominated it but feel free to revise anything. I still couldn't find info about the Gémini of the yMeteor blog but it appears they kinda analyse episodes like the finale of the first series most notably the lines Hei has with Dai Tintor2 (talk) 21:47, 9 August 2021 (UTC)

@Tintor2: Good. It seems that the article improved after Miniapolis edits, but I will check if there is something I can help with. Cheers. - Xexerss (talk) 07:00, 10 August 2021 (UTC)
In case you are interested Talk:Darker than Black/GA1 has a reviewer so we could revise issues faster should any be busy. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 19:04, 12 August 2021 (UTC)

We did! Darker than Black became GA. Nice work. By the way, thanks to discord users, I got translations from the series' Japanese booklets and thus expanded stuff from Gemini of the Meteor among others so they have potential for being nominated too. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 17:57, 15 August 2021 (UTC)

@Tintor2: Awesome, I'm glad to know it, but you definitely did most of this. I will try to help with that too. Cheers. - Xexerss (talk) 20:31, 15 August 2021 (UTC)
Thanks to some friends from Discord I managed to find comments about the soundtrack from the three Darker than Black works. Do you think there is potential for soundtrack article?Tintor2 (talk) 21:57, 17 August 2021 (UTC)
@Tintor2: Since there's content about the music in the production and reception sections (it would be great if the latter can be expanded) and there are sources for their releases, in my opinion, I think it's possible to create an article. - Xexerss (talk) 22:04, 17 August 2021 (UTC)

Akito the Exiled

Just created an article for Code Geass: Akito the Exiled. No idea how to handle the table since this one has more data than the Darker tahn Black Gaiden one. Also, if you find more reviews, it would be helpful since there are so little. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 01:24, 15 September 2021 (UTC)

The article looks pretty good so far. I will search and see if I can find some useful sources. - Xexerss (talk) 01:54, 15 September 2021 (UTC)

Fujimoto birthdate inaccurate

Hi, the Oricon article you cited doesn't correspond to the author's actual birthdate. He was born in 1992 as evident from his personal twitter account. He posted that he turned 25 in 2017. (Mind you, he talks in third person). As such, Fujimoto can't have been born in 1993. Source: https://twitter.com/nagayama_koharu/status/917647092612456448?s=19.

And here are sources that give his actual birthdate from the Shogakukan award: https://comics.shogakukan.co.jp/news/28695 https://www.shogakukan.co.jp/sites/default/files/manual/20210119.pdf Supes100 (talk) 00:12, 26 September 2021 (UTC)

Darker than Black: Gaiden

I just revised a bit the reception section of Darker than Black: Gaiden as I forgot to give each paragraph a focus. Now the first paragraph focuses on the plot while the second on the animation. Could you give it a look to see any possible grammar issue? It's being reviewed now. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 03:20, 3 October 2021 (UTC)

Autopatrolled granted

Hi Xexerss, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the "autopatrolled" permission to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the autopatrolled right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. However, you should consider adding relevant wikiproject talk-page templates, stub-tags and categories to new articles that you create if you aren't already in the habit of doing so, since your articles will no longer be systematically checked by other editors (User:Evad37/rater and User:SD0001/StubSorter.js are useful scripts which can help). Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! – Joe (talk) 07:46, 26 October 2021 (UTC)

Infobox

I recently expanded Psycho-Pass: Sinners of the System which is a film trilogy. However, the infoboxes seem kinda simple. Do you think they should be expanded to be more clear? Cheers. Also, thanks for all that help with the Darker tha″n Black articles.Tintor2 (talk) 16:54, 23 October 2021 (UTC)

@Tintor2: I think that it would be a good idea to make an infobox for each film, since the article is precisely about the trilogy, just like Berserk: The Golden Age Arc. By the way, I just noticed that the films have not been licensed yet in North America. - Xexerss (talk) 17:23, 23 October 2021 (UTC)
@Tintor2: Also, I was wondering if we should make separate episode list articles for PP2 and PP3, just like with PP1. - Xexerss (talk) 17:33, 23 October 2021 (UTC)
Yeah be bold. If you pay attention, I made Psycho-Pass mostly a season 1 only article in the same way as we did with Darker than Black when splitting Gemini of the Meteor and Gaiden. There are Psycho-Pass 2 and Psycho-Pass 3 article but I don't know what to do with the episode tables. About Sinners it was recently released in the United Kingdom for some unknown reason kinda like Code Geass: Akito the Exiled.Tintor2 (talk) 17:46, 23 October 2021 (UTC)
@Tintor2: But how should we name those articles? For example, should it be "List of Psycho-Pass 2 episodes" or "Psycho Pass (season 2)"? I think the second option is more concise, but the series is officially referred to as "Psycho-Pass 2" and not "the second season of Psycho-Pass". It maybe sounds silly but I'd prefer to ask first before making any article. - Xexerss (talk) 17:54, 23 October 2021 (UTC)
Yeah I think Funimation kept up with Production I.G's naming convention so I guess Psycho-Pass 2 works as a title. I have not that many skills with episode list articles though so I leave that to you.Tintor2 (talk) 17:57, 23 October 2021 (UTC)

By the way, do you think it might be possible to create a template for the works directed by Naoyoshi Shiotani? He did direct other works besides the Psycho-Pass animated series and films.Tintor2 (talk) 19:41, 23 October 2021 (UTC)

@Tintor2: That's ok I think. I created a {{Yuzo Sato}} template some years ago and he doesn't even have an article. - Xexerss (talk) 19:44, 23 October 2021 (UTC)

By the way, are you familiar with the manga prequel Psycho-Pass Inspector Shinya Kogami? I found a lot of reception that might be helpful to give it its own article but I don't know the main plot as Dark Horse Comics didn't fully finish it. I tried checking scanlations but not even Mangadex bothered with translating the manga's later chapters.Tintor2 (talk) 21:53, 24 October 2021 (UTC)

No, sorry, I haven't read any of the PP manga. Anyway, I think that there must be enough sources to make a separate article. - Xexerss (talk) 22:05, 24 October 2021 (UTC)

I think Psycho-Pass 2 now has enough creation but I doubt the amount of sources for the reception section. If you were to find other reviews, could you add them to the talk page or a further reading section? Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 23:18, 26 October 2021 (UTC)

@Tintor2: I'll see if I can find something helpful. - Xexerss (talk) 00:22, 27 October 2021 (UTC)
Now that I think about it, while the first cover of each DVD shows the main characters properly the logo is barely shown. You think you could replace any DVD cover with a keyvisual? Kinda like what you did with the Darker than Black articles.Tintor2 (talk) 23:57, 28 October 2021 (UTC)
@Tintor2: Sure. I will try to do it as soon as possible. BTW I couldn't find more reviews of PP2, but I think that the reception section looks fine now. - Xexerss (talk) 00:32, 29 October 2021 (UTC)
Neat. I've briefly expanded 3's reception too a bit but couldn't find anything about the First Inspector movie even though it's on amazon. Do you know of other reviewers at least from other language to fill the article. On the other hand, I managed to expand more production section of the most articles recently.Tintor2 (talk) 17:48, 30 October 2021 (UTC)
I'll try to find some other language reviews, but I'm not sure how many other websites could serve aside from those listed on WP:A&M/ORS. - Xexerss (talk) 18:32, 30 October 2021 (UTC)

New article to create for you

Hi Xexerss, there is new article to create about a manga with a newly announced TV anime adaptation, can you create it? It's Tomodachi Game, which also received two live-action film adaptations and a television drama adaptation.

Link: https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2021-11-01/tomodachi-game-manga-gets-tv-anime-in-april-2022/.179045

Thanks.- Tebus19 (talk) 17:09, 1 November 2021 (UTC)

@Tebus19: Sure. I will try to create it as soon as possible. Thanks for letting me know. Cheers. - Xexerss (talk) 20:32, 1 November 2021 (UTC)
@Tebus19: Done, but I left various details out. If you can later, try to add them, please. - Xexerss (talk) 22:27, 1 November 2021 (UTC)
@Xexerss: Alright. - Tebus19 (talk) 21:34, 1 November 2021 (UTC)

Dororo (2019)

I recently expanded Dororo (2019) since it was tagged. Still, I have yet to properly finish the reception section. I've been searching for a more appropiate keyvisual fora proper show of the two leads but I can't find them with the logo so a DVD or Blu-ray could also help. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 23:18, 4 November 2021 (UTC)

@Tintor2: I couldn't find a proper key visual that includes the logo. I suppose that some cover image from Sentai Filmworks home media releases would be ok. - Xexerss (talk) 01:46, 5 November 2021 (UTC)

Internet / twitter polls.

Hey Xexerss, About the twitter polls added in manga/anime articles. I think they shouldn't be added even if mentioned by an independent reliable source

For example Alu's manga twitter poll was only mentioned by the website (Alu) itself.

I think TV's voting and Site recommendation (Like the Honto/Rakuten) are good enough however. as they cover more ground and are not susceptible to manipulation as othersWillsEdtior777 (talk) 00:42, 16 November 2021 (UTC)

@WillsEdtior777: There is a secondary source from PR Times about that poll, so the Alu link itself could be removed. But if you still believe that these kind of polls shouldn't be added, I think that it could be discussed on WP:A&M. - Xexerss (talk) 02:36, 16 November 2021 (UTC)

@Xexerss: The PRTimes is done by the manga community itself. its not a different source. Yes i'm talking in general as social media polls or stuff like MAL are very unreliable and should not be mentioned as much as possible. I'll add a discussion on that! Thanks.WillsEdtior777 (talk) 01:29, 17 November 2021 (UTC)

Thank you very much for your effort

Hi Xexerss, since I have already received your thanks several times through the appropriate notification I wanted to thank you for all the great effort you are putting into improving Wikipedia. Thanks a lot again, know that your great work is greatly appreciated by myself, I wish you a good continuation :). --Pazio Paz (talk) 22:59, 17 November 2021 (UTC)

@Pazio Paz: Thanks for your kind words, I really appreciate them. I'm trying to help as much as I can. I thank you too for keeping the chapter/volume list articles and sections updated, that's really helpful too. Cheers. - Xexerss (talk) 23:32, 17 November 2021 (UTC)

Adding Sources:

How do you add the sources….…to clarify the reliable sources. I mean the code. I have have some reviews that can be added to yashahime article. I am still looking. Truthseeker1022 (talk) 23:53, 19 November 2021 (UTC)

There is another option. I can just give it to you and you can do it but I do want to try and learn how to do it right. Truthseeker1022 (talk) 23:55, 19 November 2021 (UTC)

@Truthseeker1022: Since the article is currently protected, only auto-confirmed users can edit it. If you want, you can use your sandbox page and write what you want and leave it here later, so I can add it to the article. Anyway, to cite sources you need to click on "Edit source", then at the top on "Cite" → "Templates" → "cite web" or just can just copy the template from here Template:Cite web. - Xexerss (talk) 00:26, 20 November 2021 (UTC)
@Xexerss: Thank you. I will locate the links again. I didn’t save them. I will post them to you and see how you do it. Do I post them here or a discussion on the article’s talk page. I think I can add it because I don’t have a lock shown on the article’s page. But I can watch what you do and the code you use that way I can do it on my own next time. Also could you remove some more of those comments after we made consensus? Like the 5 comments before your last comment in that section? Or can I remove them. They are not on the issue. Truthseeker1022 (talk) 01:41, 20 November 2021 (UTC)
@Truthseeker1022: It's fine with me if you want to leave the bare links here on my talk page. I'll see what can I do with them. I left the last comment asking everyone to just move on, so we shouldn't remove comments before that one, but I'll kindly ask you to just ignore them and not reply anymore. I'll remove other comments from here on too, since the issue was resolved. - Xexerss (talk) 02:02, 20 November 2021 (UTC)
I guess I don’t have to ping you because it would show up for you but I wanted to reinforce the code. I understand. Sadly, I did hope that the comments would be removed. I will try to ignore them and respect that you would remove any more posted after. Next time when a situation like this happens, I will tell them it has been solved and to move on instead of trying to understand why they were twisting what happened. If they continue anything to me elsewhere, I think my next step would be maybe report it, only if it feels like a personal attack. I am trying to assume good faith with them but with the lies they placed on me it is a challenge.

Anyway moving on. This is what I found, it is only for season 1, no reviews yet for season 2: The Fandom Post is listed in the general area of reliable sources on the anime and manga project page. I could give you only season 1 eps 24 information. Which is Grade: A- on episode 24 and Series Grade: A but I wanted the other episodes addressed to show you the grades. And no I don’t expect you to add all these links but I don’t know what is best here. All the episodes got a A or A- but one (episode 19) which was a B.

@Truthseeker1022: I suppose that technically there is nothing wrong with episode reviews, but to be honest, I personally prefer more general reviews about the series, since they are easier to summarize for the reception section. Thanks for the links, but I'm not sure what exactly can I do with them. I think that the reception section needs expansion anyway, so I'll try to see if I can find more reviews in the next days. - Xexerss (talk) 03:25, 20 November 2021 (UTC)
Well, if there was something wrong with these 24 episodes reviews because they are episodes reviews then we have issues with links 29, 30, and 32 on the Yashahime article. 29 is an episode review on 1-3. 30 and 32 are on episode 15. Just the links I posted here are neutral tone and a review where the others are a personal general review on their opinions on the episode. I am looking for more reliable sources to help the article.Thank you for your hard work. I can write something if you are having issues with that. Maybe: Richard Gutierrez from the fandom post has rated the first season of the series with a grade of an A and all the episodes ranked a grade A or A- besides one which was a B for Episode 19.Truthseeker1022 (talk) 03:54, 20 November 2021 (UTC)
@Truthseeker1022: I'm not saying that these links or the other ones cited in the Yashahime article are wrong to use, I'm just saying that I don't know how to summarize their general thoughts on the show based on the reviews of each episode. Since the other reviews were used for a particular issue about the series, they were easier to summarize. I don't think that grades alone would explain what do they think about the series. This is just my opinion though. - Xexerss (talk) 12:24, 20 November 2021 (UTC)
I understood what you were saying and I said that as an hypocritical situation. I think I see the problem. While I have not read everything in those links but I guess you missed the last section called “In summary” where Richard discussed things. It was not just grades he gave.He talks about the excitement of the last episode. He talks about the frustrations and how confusing things are. He talks about how it feels rushed. And he mentions the nostalgia. This is only from a few summaries I have read.Truthseeker1022 (talk) 18:21, 20 November 2021 (UTC)

A favor

I've been trying to expand the Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle articles and noted I never worked in the episode list. I was thinking of splitting the seasons since they are already quiet long while there are five OVAs that have been discussed by the media. Could you help with splitting the two seasons. Last time I tried with D.Gray-man I had to ask for help. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 16:31, 24 November 2021 (UTC)

@Tintor2: Sure. I'll try to work on that task as soon as I can. - Xexerss (talk) 17:00, 24 November 2021 (UTC)
The issue is creating subtables. From there I'll be able to create the sublist properly.Tintor2 (talk) 18:31, 24 November 2021 (UTC)

Thanks for creating the sublists. Now the main list doesn't look that heavy. Also, I've been think about creating an article for the two OVA series of Tsubasa. There are creation and reception sources I found but Funimation released released the two OVAs together. You think it's okay to combine the two OVAs into one article? They are only five episodes in total though.Tintor2 (talk) 22:22, 25 November 2021 (UTC)

@Tintor2: The main issue would be the title of the article. Based on MOS:ANIME and the :JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (OVA) talk page, it should be avoided to call it "Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle (OVA)". Another option should be to create an article for each OVA, but I don't know how practical would be that. - Xexerss (talk) 23:17, 25 November 2021 (UTC)
I doubt I have material enough for each OVA. This is what I managed to gather by grabbing all of my sources. Tokyo Revelations has its own website but it's impossible to visit it since Adobe is no longer used.Tintor2 (talk) 23:21, 25 November 2021 (UTC)
Yeah, as long as there is an official material that separates the seasons I find it possible. The latest article I created about the Tsubasa OVAs had to be made since I couldn't find enough sources about each OVA.Tintor2 (talk) 20:18, 27 November 2021 (UTC)
@Tintor2: My main issue, again, is the title. I've got three ideas: "Hunter × Hunter (2011 TV series) (season 1)"; "Hunter × Hunter (2011) (season 1)"; or simply "Hunter × Hunter (season 1)" (since the 1999 series was not separate into seasons, and I, personally, don't see a reason to). Which option do you think is better? - Xexerss (talk) 20:30, 27 November 2021 (UTC)
I see. It's even a more complicated name than the one given to the two Syaorans. I guess it might be better to ask in the project. No idea what to do there.Tintor2 (talk) 20:32, 27 November 2021 (UTC)

About Jujutsu Kaisen, I found that chapter 108 illustrated most of the recurring cast but colored and added it to the list. Still, I'm not sure about its size so feel free to check it or look for a potential replacement. Sadly, Gojo wasn't featured there. There is another visual that illustrates Gojo alongside others but is missing some of the ones featured in the list. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 21:53, 3 December 2021 (UTC)

Yesterday I created Senku Ishigami but just like happened with Subaru Natsuki I only know of the animes, so the appearances section might need an expansion among other tidbits. By the way, considering the fact Berserk might be finished I wonder if it's possible to create an article for Guts considering how popular he is. I know nothing about his creation though but I might be able to help if you are interested. Based on my experience, protagonists articles are the easiest ones to create.Tintor2 (talk) 19:12, 7 December 2021 (UTC)

@Tintor2: I don't have any experience in creating character articles other than some lists, but I think that there must be enough material to create an article for Guts. If you want to create one, I'll try to help. Much of Miura's interviews centered on his creation and development. - Xexerss (talk) 19:38, 7 December 2021 (UTC)
@Tintor2: The current image of the Guts article its from the 1997 anime. I suppose that it should be changed from another one of the manga if you can find a better one. - Xexerss (talk) 21:59, 7 December 2021 (UTC)
You seem to know more of Berserk than me. Replace it with any image you find as better representation of the character. Maybe, it should show the big sword?Tintor2 (talk) 22:28, 7 December 2021 (UTC)

About "Sousou no Frieren"

It's regretful that you may think of my edits as a fanfiction. All my edits can be accounted for and I already have a list of all the references if needed.

About the nickname, maybe you don't remember due to the fan translator didn't explain it well. Look at chapter 17, last 2 pages, the demon explained about how he just remembered Frieren and her deeds of burying most demon in history, and the last page he said it explicitly in a large textbox, "Sousou no Frieren," giving context to the manga title as well. Here is the Japanese pages https://imgur.com/a/xAdb2kd

I also remember one of the English fan subber translated it as "Frieren The Slayer," which he also gave a little explanation regarding the nickname, but most readers will fail to understand it due how he failed to explain the relation with the "Sousou no Frieren" Japanese writing itself. Exlanzer (talk) 06:04, 8 December 2021 (UTC)

@Exlanzer: Thanks for the information. I suppose that we can leave that translation until Viz Media confirms the official nickname in the volume. About the descriptions, the issue is that they should be brief, per MOS:AM#Characters and some details didn't seem that relevant, at least for the tone of Wikipedia. We should try to avoid MOS:INUNIVERSE as much as possible. Cheers. - Xexerss (talk) 06:14, 8 December 2021 (UTC)
Yes, I understand about the conciseness issue, and thank you for showing those basic guidelines as well. Best regards. Exlanzer (talk) 06:27, 8 December 2021 (UTC)

Magi

I saw you Magi edits, they were great. Thank you for adding on to the description. But for the picture, wouldn’t it be better to put the official art of the anime? Kai7176 (talk) 20:23, 13 December 2021 (UTC)

@Kai7176: The original work is a manga series, so an image from the manga is preferable. - Xexerss (talk) 20:39, 13 December 2021 (UTC)

Understandable. Then how about a larger image from the volume covers? The logo being present would look cooler Kai7176 (talk) 20:43, 13 December 2021 (UTC)

@Kai7176: Images must be in low resolution. As far as I know, there are no strict guidelines stating that the images can have text or include the series' logo in this kind of character lists, but most of them have textless images that clearly illustrate the characters. - Xexerss (talk) 20:53, 13 December 2021 (UTC)

Oh that makes sense. I was thinking the final volume or the anime cover but I guess it makes sense cause they are 3 times bigger. I did not know the res had to be small, sry abt that. Kai7176 (talk) 21:01, 13 December 2021 (UTC)

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas. I'm glad we worked together in several articles. From Darker than Black to Guts to Jujutsu Kaisen, etc. By the way, I added commentary about Miura's ideas about Guts' berserker armor to the article. You think a colored image of such handling ofTintor2 (talk) 22:27, 24 December 2021 (UTC) the character could be added? If so, I want you add to it yourself since when I google I only found fanarts. By the way, the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie article sure is filled with voice actors commentary. In case you find an interview with the director or the writer, add it to the talk page (because I found very little about the production of the movie so far other than a simple premise) Merry Christmas.Tintor2 (talk) 21:21, 24 December 2021 (UTC)

@Tintor2: Thank you very much! Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you too. I'll see what can I do, maybe there are sketches from artbooks or guidebooks. I added some links to the talk page of the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 film. I don't know if you already checked them out or if they have similar info that you've already added, but I'll see if I can find something else. Cheers. - Xexerss (talk) 21:34, 24 December 2021 (UTC)
@Tintor2: I cannot find an early design or sketch from Miura, but I found a Miura's illustration of Guts wearing the amor here [1] do you think this would be fine for the article? - Xexerss (talk) 22:15, 24 December 2021 (UTC)
Looks quite neat :D

I think the manga article Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is big enough now. The only thing I wonder if it might be necessary to use the original logo of Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School considering how important it is. I tried searching in the archives from the Jump Giga in the publication section but none of the images were archived. What do you think? Happy holidays.Tintor2 (talk) 20:41, 28 December 2021 (UTC)

@Tintor2: I can't find anything either and considering that it was just a short series and didn't even have a collected volume until Jujutsu Kaisen had its third volume, I suppose that there are no clean or creditless available images of the logo.- Xexerss (talk) 20:55, 28 December 2021 (UTC)
By any chance the yellow colored letters here are the logo? I don't understand Japanese but I recognized the Japanese signs used for Tokyo.Tintor2 (talk) 22:38, 28 December 2021 (UTC)
Yes, it also appears in the first chapter. I don't know if there is a way to, at least, extract the logo from the image if a clean one doesn't exist. - Xexerss (talk) 22:45, 28 December 2021 (UTC)

Then it might be useful. Also, I found this but I don't know what does it mean even through google translate. If it's a rerelease that combines volume 0 and volume 1 then it's worth mentioning.Tintor2 (talk) 22:53, 28 December 2021 (UTC)

@Tintor2: It seems that it was a dust jacket that came with the combined 3rd-4th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump, probably to replace the original cover of the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 volume or something like that. - Xexerss (talk) 23:26, 28 December 2021 (UTC)

Two new articles to create for you

Hi Xexerss, i have a new request for you. can you create two new articles about manga series with their anime adaptations?

The first one is It's My Life by Narita Imomushi, which received an original video animation adaptation by Creators in Pack that was released on January 30, 2019. The second one is Shiyakusho by Kishi Azumi, which recieved a television drama adaptation that aired between October and December 2019 for 10 episodes and an original net animation adaptation by Typhoon Graphics what was recently released on February 9, 2022 on YouTube.

Thanks.- Tebus19 (talk) 21:12, 9 February 2022 (UTC)

@Tebus19: Hi. Thanks for letting me know. I'm kinda busy at the moment but I'll try to create those articles as soon as possible. Cheers. - Xexerss (talk) 02:54, 10 February 2022 (UTC)

Manga Page Covers

Sorry to bother you, but when adding images to Manga pages, it must always be volume 1, right? Kai7176 (talk) 16:21, 12 February 2022 (UTC)

@Kai7176: Not necessarily, but it's the most common thing to do. If other volume cover should be used for a particular article, I suppose that it should be discussed first. - Xexerss (talk) 03:23, 13 February 2022 (UTC)

Sources

Please read the sources you remove before claiming that the sources don’t support the content. The ComicBook source most certainly does and yet you insist on removing it for no other reason than the false one you put forward.--CreecregofLife (talk) 15:16, 14 February 2022 (UTC)

@CreecregofLife: That would be the only source that supports one of the claims you added. You didn't provide sources for the other stuff and per WP:A&M/ORS#Situational, the Anime News Network encyclopedia is not a reliable source since is user-edited content. - Xexerss (talk) 15:22, 14 February 2022 (UTC)
Then I can cite the first episode of Journeys itself, right? Because DuArt no longer does the series and the credits of Journeys specifically mention Iyano and Goldcrest Post.--CreecregofLife (talk) 15:24, 14 February 2022 (UTC)
@CreecregofLife: I suppose that it would be fine. I'll try to find sources myself too. I don't think the content that you added is wrong, but it needs to be verifiable by reliable sources, that's all. - Xexerss (talk) 15:29, 14 February 2022 (UTC)

Advice on how to write manga pages appropriately?

Im slowly working on the Orient manga page and will continue to do so. I noticed that you don't put protagonist roles in the first sentence of character summary and you avoid it. If that’s the case, then what is the appropriate structure on a character summary. Do we have to talk about personality into their story? Also, why do some manga pages have a separate “list of characters/episode” page but some have it on the same page. This got me quite confused. Anyways sorry for the sudden disturbance. Kai7176 (talk) 03:05, 8 January 2022 (UTC)

@Kai7176: Do you mean about the "protagonist" tag for characters and so? Per WP:PROTAGONIST, those kind of tags should be avoided (the guideline is mainly for films and TV series, but it should apply for anime/manga characters as well). Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Anime and manga#Characters may will help you. About the separate list articles, it's mainly related to the length of the lists, but they should also include as many reliable sources as possible. If we were to create lists without any sources, they probably will be deleted, per Wikipedia:Notability. Cheers. - Xexerss (talk) 03:16, 8 January 2022 (UTC)

Understood. I see tons of anime/manga character summary’s starting with this though. Shouldn’t that be avoided? I see this often. And thank you for the link. Kai7176 (talk) 03:46, 8 January 2022 (UTC)

One more thing. Lets say i have the citations and references, but its not from online and its from a manga. How do i source that? Kai7176 (talk) 03:50, 8 January 2022 (UTC)

@Kai7176: You can use the Template:Cite book. This is from the One Piece article for example: [1] But character and plot sections don't necessarily need sources, so you can write descriptions and plot summaries without citing them. I would personally suggest to do so if you're planning to expand the list and eventually make a separate article if it deserves it. - Xexerss (talk) 04:13, 8 January 2022 (UTC)

Alright I understand how to cite now. So basically a certain plot list/character would get it’s own page if it’s taking up a lot of space? Also, something like, “Musashi the the protagonist” should be avoided? Im just confused, because theres some character pages containing that info and some that don’t. Kai7176 (talk) 12:57, 8 January 2022 (UTC)

Yeah, it should be avoided. Sadly, many character lists (if not the majority) have a lot of issues, but they're not the rule. - Xexerss (talk) 19:13, 8 January 2022 (UTC)

What is the max word limit of plot summaries? You said 700 max or more but I would like to know the absolute max, currently the Magi summary is still very large. Also, I can see that many character summaries have flaws in terms of roles, but what if theres citations for it? Is it still deletable or do we leave it? Kai7176 (talk) 01:15, 12 January 2022 (UTC)

I see that https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Naruto_characters is stated to be a good example of a proper article but it has those flaws on Naruto. It’s the only reason I'm kinda confused, so shouldn’t it be deleted? Kai7176 (talk) 01:38, 12 January 2022 (UTC)

@Kai7176: 700 is what MOS:PLOT suggests. As far as I know, there's no strict rule about the limit, but more than a thousand words is definitely too much. About the roles, I suppose that it depends from case to case and from editor to editor. From my understanding, it should be avoided. Many lists omit the role in their descriptions based on what WP:PROTAGONIST says, but some editors argue that it doesn't apply for written material, an argument that I don't find very reasonable since we're talking about fiction too and it should also apply. Now, I don't know if there has ever been a proper discussion about this on the WP:A&M talk page, but maybe we should find a consensus. - Xexerss (talk) 02:44, 12 January 2022 (UTC)

I’ll slowly reduce the plot section in Magi <1000 words, with appropriate information.

And I agree on that because it’s just kinda off that some articles have it and some don’t, it’s not one or the other. Kai7176 (talk) 03:03, 12 January 2022 (UTC)

How many words could character plot summaries be? Not the story, the specific character summary. Also, if their is a source for roles, is that allowed? Kai7176 (talk) 20:13, 12 January 2022 (UTC)

@Kai7176: I don't know if there is a suggested limit for the characters summary. Per MOS:CHARACTERS, the length vary according to the character's importance to the story, but I'd say that we should describe their main characteristics and not write too much details about their plots, per MOS:INUNIVERSE. I gave my opinion about roles and stuff. Maybe you should ask some other editor who knows more about writing list of characters. I just think that, like WP:PROTAGONIST says, a "well-written plot summary should convey such roles", that, and the characters order and the subsection headings like "protagonists" and "antagonists" may just be enough. I'm following the most convincing argument about why the roles should be avoided, but who knows, maybe someone who knows more about the guidelines will tell you something else. Maybe you could bring the issue to the WP:A&M talk page too. Cheers. - Xexerss (talk) 22:38, 12 January 2022 (UTC)

Thank you, I understand your reasoning. But what if for example, Trunks who is the main protagonist in his own movie is a side character in the main series. Wouldn’t it be important to include that. Sorry if I seem to be dragging it, and thanks for all the advice. Kai7176 (talk) 23:58, 12 January 2022 (UTC)

@Kai7176: Dragon Ball Z: The History of Trunks, for example, just includes a cast list and a link to the DB list of characters article. I think that his position on the list (first) clearly implies that he is the protagonist. - Xexerss (talk) 00:58, 13 January 2022 (UTC)

Oh yes that one seems reasonable. But I see for Akame ga Kill!, Akame is the main character in the spin off, and it wasn’t included. Kai7176 (talk) 01:32, 13 January 2022 (UTC)

Question about Shiyakusho

Hi Xexerss, i need to ask a little question.

I saw you created the It's My Life article as i requested, but when will you create the Shiyakusho article?- Tebus19 (talk) 17:35, 13 February 2022 (UTC)

@Tebus19: Don't worry, I'm planning to create that one in a few days, maybe two or three more. - Xexerss (talk) 02:12, 14 February 2022 (UTC)

@Tebus19: Done. I created the article, but I left some details out. If you can, please, add more content. Cheers. - Xexerss (talk) 08:14, 16 February 2022 (UTC)

Licensing images

Hello Xexeres ^^

I wanted to ask you a little question if you allow me, it's about Licensing images on wiki. I want to know how you could do that ? It's very easy to upload images but I don't know how to Licensing correctly, of course I'm talking about manga covers or anime posters. Could you tell me exactly how you do it correctly !? Phil81194 (talk) 11:17, 16 February 2022 (UTC)

@Phil81194: You just need to upload the image and submit the required information (red asterisk). Personally, once the image is uploaded, I just change the content for a template like this (for manga) or this (for anime), obviously, renaming the corresponding parameters. I hope I made myself clear. Cheers. - Xexerss (talk) 16:40, 16 February 2022 (UTC)

Ok, thank you for your help. but what do you do when you have to choose "This file is not my own work". Of course it's very easy for the source and the author, but what about the copyright thing, I don't know what to do ? Phil81194 (talk) 17:00, 16 February 2022 (UTC)

@Phil81194: you upload images using Wikipedia:File Upload Wizard, right? In Step 3, you must choose "This is a copyrighted, non-free work, but I believe it is Fair Use", choose the article where you'll add the image, then "This is the official cover art of a work" (if it's manga), "Non-free use rationale": "This is the official cover art of a work.", and then all the other info required. - Xexerss (talk) 17:09, 16 February 2022 (UTC)

Yeah yeah, I use that wizard thing. Ok thank you very much !!!! But one last question, what do you do in the last thing here (In view of this, please explain how the use of this file will be minimal).

I should upload high resolution images or low resolution ? There is no problem if I upload high resolution. Phil81194 (talk) 17:31, 16 February 2022 (UTC)

@Phil81194: The important thing is that Images should be rescaled as small as possible, per WP:IMAGERES. Usually, if you upload large images a bot will reduce its size. About minimal use, like the files I mentioned before, you can write something like "This image will be shown as a primary means of visual identification at the top of the article dedicated to the work in question". - Xexerss (talk) 17:43, 16 February 2022 (UTC)

Thank you very much Xexeres, thanks to you I can now upload images on Wikipedia. But next time I should upload small resolution images, to make sure there's no problem. Thank you buddy, you are the best here ! ^^ Phil81194 (talk) 10:40, 17 February 2022 (UTC)

@Phil81194: You're welcome. By the way, I noticed that you uploaded an image from the first volume of TPN again for the list of chapters, but that was unnecessary, you just need to add another template to the same file of the infobox image. - Xexerss (talk) 20:17, 17 February 2022 (UTC)

Yes, but I didn't know, I have added it to the list of chapters long ago but it was removed from the list, that's why I uploaded a new image. I didn't know about this option. Ok so thank you for telling me ^^ Phil81194 (talk) 09:54, 18 February 2022 (UTC)

Anime Games

Are pages for anime video games that have not yet received an english version allowed? Kai7176 (talk) 01:57, 19 February 2022 (UTC)

@Kai7176: As long as they have enough coverage by secondary sources, I think that there would be no issues. - Xexerss (talk) 02:02, 19 February 2022 (UTC)

Thank you. Here’s the page I created: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magi:_The_Labyrinth_of_Beginnings_(video_game) I really hope it is appropriate for Wikipedia and will not be deleted, I will add more information. Kai7176 (talk) 16:46, 19 February 2022 (UTC)

My fault, it’s moved to draft space Kai7176 (talk) 18:25, 19 February 2022 (UTC)

character image

Sorry for bothering you, but I have a suggestion and a question. Is it appropriate to use https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/0/0e/Magi_Character%27s_%28Character_Encyclopedia%29.jpg for the character list for Magi? This image is official art by Ohtaka and is the cover page for the character encyclopedia that has 45 characters while the current has about 18. Kai7176 (talk) 21:30, 19 February 2022 (UTC)

@Kai7176: I'm not sure. I think that the image doesn't convey how the characters are actually shown in the manga since they are presented in a chibi style. The current image already shows a good part of the most significant characters, so I personally don't think another one is necessary. By the way, I noticed that you changed the order and listed Alibaba before Aladdin, and while I don't strongly disagree, I'm pretty sure that Alibaba is overall considered the deuteragonist, and he is usually listed after Aladdin. [2][3][4] - Xexerss (talk) 21:58, 19 February 2022 (UTC)

Alright if thats the case for the image that’s alright. I just thought since it had more it would be a better one. As for the order, I thought it didn’t matter and was based on consistent appearances and either way, Ohtaka confirmed they’re both the protagonist. Kai7176 (talk) 22:02, 19 February 2022 (UTC)

@Kai7176: That's a good point, but regardless of the author's comments, judging from the covers of the manga volumes and DVDs, that usually put Aladdin in the centre (he's alone on the cover of the first volume and in the centre of the final volume) and the fact that he is the only main character in the first chapter of the manga, it's safe to say that the imagery of the series is mostly represented by the character of Aladdin (it could be said that he is the posterboy of the series) and he should be listed above. --Xexerss (talk) 23:02, 19 February 2022 (UTC)

That’s my fault then you’re correct. Aladdin is indeed the initial protagonist of the series , though they’re equally get the same role as the series progresses. Sorry for that edit, please switch it back. Kai7176 (talk) 23:07, 19 February 2022 (UTC)

Well in Ohtaka’s backstage she is not consisten on placing the characters first and second, sometimes it’s Alibaba and Aladdin and sometimes its Aladdin and Alibaba. Kai7176 (talk) 23:10, 19 February 2022 (UTC)

@Kai7176: I suppose that authors consider their main characters as equally important as the protagonist. I think that Yoshihiro Togashi considers the four main characters of Hunter × Hunter equally important, but still the imagery of the series is mainly associated with Gon. - Xexerss (talk) 23:20, 19 February 2022 (UTC)

I haven’t really watched Hunter so I wouldn’t know but I think I get what you’re trying to say. I think I screwed up here. This one was a mistake, just realized that even though they share the same role, Aladdin had first chapter to himself. The reason I changed it though is because of how Inuyasha characters are listed, Inuyasha does not appear before Kagome (just like Aladdin and Alibaba), but Inuyasha is oddly always first on the list. So sunce they’re both protagonists, I figured it wouldn’t matter in Magi’s case as well. Kai7176 (talk) 23:30, 19 February 2022 (UTC)

Griffith

Griffith (Berserk) was created. Felt like telling you because you already did a nice job with Guts.Tintor2 (talk) 15:00, 22 February 2022 (UTC)

Yu-Gi-Oh! articles

Hello, Xexerss. It's been a long time.

I have a question, is it alright for you to look at every article of the Yu-Gi-Oh! series to see if they need any updating such as typos to be fixed, dead links to be replaced, vandalism to be removed, and the articles to have an improved design. Here's the template to check it out.

Regards, later.--Landingdude13talk 06:17, 10 March 2022 (UTC)

@Landingdude13: Hello, Landingdude13. Sadly, I don't think I have that much free time lately to check meticulously each of those articles, but you can let me know if there are any of them that need particular fixes and I'll try to help somehow. Cheers. - Xexerss (talk) 06:47, 10 March 2022 (UTC)
@Xexerss: It's okay, I know how you feel. You don't need to do it right now but next time when you have free time in the near future. I just show you this because you're interested in manga and anime. Later. - Landingdude13 (talk) 07:00, 10 March 2022 (UTC)

Can you also add the character section in the article? Tebus19 (talk) 23:51, 17 March 2022 (UTC)
@Tebus19: Sorry, but I haven't read or watched the series, so I wouldn't really know how to organize the list. - Xexerss (talk) 00:36, 18 March 2022 (UTC)
Ok, thanks anyway Tebus19 (talk) 00:41, 18 March 2022 (UTC)

about sourcing

what do you mean by that? I'm doing it from the automatic linking.Apologies for the mess caused WillsEdtior777 (talk) 16:22, 16 March 2022 (UTC)¨

@WillsEdtior777: I had to fix some links that seemed broken but just were incorrectly added. Also, besides the titles perhaps, is better to leave the other parameters in English. Don't worry, but next time please, try to check that kind of things before publishing changes. Cheers. - Xexerss (talk) 16:30, 16 March 2022 (UTC)
Yes what do you mean by that? they're working fine on my end. As for the name you meant changing the Japanese to english (Which for example you did for Tokyo award festival) or date/time? I'm not leaving or changing anything as i'm doing it through the automatic citing tool, not manually. WillsEdtior777 (talk) 16:39, 16 March 2022 (UTC)
@WillsEdtior777: Yes, that kind of stuff. It's not the big deal maybe, but it would be helpful if the citations are well-ordered and in a comprehensible form. - Xexerss (talk) 16:48, 16 March 2022 (UTC)

I'll keep that in mind! WillsEdtior777 (talk)

I'm Quitting Heroing

why you removing the plot?Lmao SageAmatarasu123 (talk) 04:40, 22 March 2022 (UTC)

@SageAmatarasu123: You are just copying content from other websites and adding them to articles. As I warned you before, that is copyright infringement. Plot section must be written with your own words. - Xexerss (talk) 04:42, 22 March 2022 (UTC)

wow copyright law in Wikipedia is stupid .. imagine censoring text. Bye trash website waste of time💩💩💩💩💩 SageAmatarasu123 (talk) 05:55, 22 March 2022 (UTC)

@SageAmatarasu123: You're better off out of this site and the site is better without your "contributions". Bye. - Xexerss (talk) 06:01, 22 March 2022 (UTC)

Untitled

Hi, why did you cancel my edits in Dr. Stone? It ends on March 6, not 7.

@FiberAhmed: Please, check the sources, they clearly state that it finished on March 7 in Japan (we consider the time zone from where the series came from). - Xexerss (talk) 23:57, 18 March 2022 (UTC)

Yuta Okkotsu

Prose aside, do you think Yuta Okkotsu looks fit for a nomination? I've been trying to trim all the reception it had and rearrange it (kinda like how I tend to write reception). Sadly, since volume 16 onwards weren't released in English regions yet, there isn't too much commentary about his role in the main series. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 23:13, 25 March 2022 (UTC)

@Tintor2: I haven't checked the article thoroughly and in detail, but at first glance it looks pretty neat to me, enough to try and submit it for nomination. Cheers. - Xexerss (talk) 00:55, 26 March 2022 (UTC)

Reasoning

The reason i deleted it from the lead because of multiple things.

-Keeping up with other manga articles to be consistent. Like SpyxFamily and Kaiju.8 and other manga articles in general.

-An exact circulation number could stay as its informative enough but i think keeping it up in reception and adding "is one of the best-selling manga of all time" when it eventually hits the 20M number is more than enough

-Critcal reception seems a bit general and biased towards one or two critcs. Most critcs in the reception seems to either bash the crudeness and first volume in general or praise its comedy and characters or gore.

In addition to the previous points it feels like its more of a just biased reception summary. The article is not that long to do so yet I think. I feel removing it and then adding one after the anime premiere like the AOT's article will be great "ChainsawMan has become a critical and commercial success".

Also a general off point. I think after the anime we should summarize the sales bit. There's way too much weight to US sales when its not that big of a market. Especially considering that its likely over 90% of its sales are still in Japan. A paragraph or two summarizing its topping lists should be more then enough. WillsEdtior777 (talk) 09:00, 28 March 2022 (UTC)

@WillsEdtior777: Maybe this is something that you should bring up to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Anime and manga or the own talk page of the article. In my opinion, the circulation numbers, if correctly sourced, should be mentioned in lead, regardless of whether it has 100,000 or 20 million copies. Not all the reviews listed are positives but most of them highlight those aspects (note the verb highlight and not necessarily praise). I don't think we should wait for the anime series to premiere and see how it performs and only then add a reception mention in lead, particularly when the manga has received enough popularity that you can easily find reviews of the volumes and see how well it has performed without any adaptation released yet. I don't see the problem with mentioning how the series has performed in sales in the USA, especially when this is the Wikipedia in English, being the country one of the most important markets in English, and the ranking on lists are also appropriately sourced. I don't find it a reasonable argument. Also, I think that the cases of Spy × Family and Kaiju No. 8 not having a mention of their receptions in lead, seem more a matter of simply nobody writing a summary in lead than some kind of hard rule stating that they should not be mentioned there. - Xexerss (talk) 09:32, 28 March 2022 (UTC)
True i do agree with the circulation aspect. Its just more of additional point. Maybe we could add to it the "one of the best selling manga of all time" as well later.
The critical reception is still biased "Chainsaw Man has been overall well received by critics, who have highlighted its storytelling, violent scenes, and dark humor." Reading this and reading the critical reception posted gives very much a different picture of the manga. Also with this reasoning of highlight. we could add the same thing to every manga or anime. Perhaps replacing violent and dark humor to different things depending in manga.
About US sales. I'm not saying to remove it. Im saying to summarize it to a sentence or two. Its simply way too much for such small market. If we did the same for My hero academia for example it'd take over half the page from topping lists for near a decade at this point. Despite it selling about 20k per month. Compared to 700k+ per month or 400k+ a week it does in Japan. It just doesn't make sense to make more than half of the sales about US market when the biggest market (Japan) has two sentences summarizing it. Chainsawman is big enough in japan that we could add to it instead of giving a lot of weight to a small market.

Also the article is not consistent with other manga or anime articles in general. As said above.WillsEdtior777 (talk) 09:48, 28 March 2022 (UTC)

@WillsEdtior777: Honestly, I don't get what are you talking about with "consistent with other manga or anime articles". The Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Anime and manga don't state how we should write about sales figures in the reception section. There are no hard rules, but if you find some issue, as I said before, you should discuss it on the Wikipedia:A&M talk page. If you'd like to make the same with My Hero Academia, I personally wouldn't see the issue, unless it was discussed and there were a consensus stating that "it's too much" as you say, then I'd say that it would be trimmed down. Well, and I still don't see the problem about reception. Those particular aspects are mentioned more than once by reviewers, so at the very least is something worth mentioning. I don't know about the reception of all other series, but if they have particular aspects commented more than once, I do think they should be noted in lead as well. Anyway, maybe the paragraphs about the performance in the USA could be too much, so I'd try to trim them down. - Xexerss (talk) 10:12, 28 March 2022 (UTC)
I'm not talking about hard rules here such as the wikiproject. As i said im talking in general. Chainsawman is written very differently compared to the majority of anime and manga articles.
Its not about what i like. It doesn't matter if i do or not. Its just the prospect of a reader taking useful information. bloating the sales section with a very small market data is not desirable. It'd be very much excellent and amazing if the manga or anime weren't popular on Japan but somehow it did in other countries. But chainsawman is popular on Japan. It'd be like writing on Chinese or indian box office section about how million or two or how they sold 1000 tickets extensively on worldwide markets and leaving a single sentence about how they did 1 billion on their home market. Writing more about the bigger market data and reception while keeping it concise is the best. Along with writing about other data in very concise matter.
I honestly don't know how you cannot see that? " In 2021, it won the 66th Shogakukan Manga Award in the shōnen category, as well as the Harvey Awards in the Best Manga category. Chainsaw Man has been overall well received by critics, who have highlighted its storytelling, violent scenes, and dark humor."
A reader will instantly think its been extremely well received critically and had no complaints. while reading the critical reception gives very much a different picture. Also if you don't see the problem with writing "Critics have highlighted the storytelling,violence/action etc,and the romance/comedy etc" in every manga and anime ever then i honestly don't know what to say. It just shouldn't be there. WillsEdtior777 (talk) 10:28, 28 March 2022 (UTC)
@WillsEdtior777: I trimmed down the rankings in the USA. It just says that it has been overall well received, it doesn't say that has received critical acclaim for example. It also has less positive reviews but the positive reviews are majority. Look, I'm tired of trying to convince you. If you have a problem with how it was worded, discuss it on talk page of the series. As far as I know, you're the only one complaining about it and I have no idea about how the overall way of writing a summary of the reception should work. I can't talk you about how the summary of the reception works in every anime and manga article, because they vary from editor to editor. My recommendation again, go and discuss it on the talk page. All that I'm saying is that lead should summarize the content of the article, and the reception should be mentioned. - Xexerss (talk) 10:56, 28 March 2022 (UTC)
Well the reason i posted about in your page is because you also have created some articles such as Kaiju.Jujutsu Kaisen,Tokyo Revengers which aren't written like CSM.
Ideally CSM lead should be like this "Chainsaw Man (Japanese: チェンソーマン, Hepburn: Chensō Man) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto. It was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine from December 2018 to December 2020, with its chapters collected in eleven tankōbon volumes. A second part will be serialized in Shueisha's Shōnen Jump+ online magazine in Q3 2022. In North America, the manga is licensed in English by Viz Media, for both print and digital release, and it is also published by Shueisha on the Manga Plus online platform. An anime television series adaptation produced by MAPPA is set to premiere in 2022.
As of December 2021, the manga had over 12 million copies in circulation."
I do not have a specific problem with it. As i'm going through new manga articles rather then established ones. Personally I disagree with critics reception and think it should have been critically acclaimed. As its very enjoyable.
As another off point in the future. I think we'll have to make a List of chainsaw man characters. As the series will get ton more information and new characters as well in the future.
From a quick search and looking at established articles like Fullmetal Alchemist it seems to suffer from similar problems. WillsEdtior777 (talk) 11:32, 28 March 2022 (UTC)
Also i apologize if this is tiresome for you. Its not intended to be a heated argument or tiring thing. WillsEdtior777 (talk) 11:34, 28 March 2022 (UTC)
@WillsEdtior777: If the FMA article has a summary of reception like that in lead, then, probably there are more articles of series, films, anime, manga, etc, etc, that have similar summaries of their receptions. As I said before, it vary from editor to editor. Yes, I've created those articles, but the fact that they don't have a summary of the critical reception is simply because I haven't focused on a way to summarize the comments of the reviewers in a short sentence and nobody else has focused on that task either, not because they have to follow the exact type of pattern and contain paragraphs with the exact same kind of information each. But I insist you to go and discuss this on a talk page, because I'm just one editor with my own view, but someone else may be on your side and we could reach a consensus that could favor you if it really bothers you. About the list of characters, yes, I agree about that, but it should need way more citations that probably will arrive when the anime premieres, especially for the voice actors. - Xexerss (talk) 11:50, 28 March 2022 (UTC)
It is indeed different and not exact same as every other article. I never said it was. A lot of articles do share the same key points in their lead however. Which is what i mean by consistency. It's just a personal preference i guess.
I'll write about it on the talk page. Although i don't there's many editors if any interested on such new articles. Hopefully we get something going on there.
Yes as i said its on the future. Part 2 will likely add a lot of major characters that will replace the past role of Power and Aki.
Thanks. WillsEdtior777 (talk) 12:16, 28 March 2022 (UTC)

Tiger & Bunny

Hi there. Nice work with Black Lagoon articles. Now there is far more coverage. I've been expanding Tiger & Bunny too but I wonder if I missed certain stuff considering most of sentences from the reception section are positive. Couldn't find too many negative comments instead. The other thing is that there are two movies that were released worldwide but the first one is just a retelling I didn't watch. I watched Rising but I have no idea if there is content enough to write its own article too. Any ideas? Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 00:17, 5 April 2022 (UTC)

@Tintor2: Thanks a lot. The improvements in the Tiger & Bunny article look pretty good too. I personally haven't watched the series, so I wouldn't really know about expanding the related media enough to make split articles. In any case, I'll see if I can find useful links and added them to the talk page. I also noticed that there are various links that have not been used yet. Cheers. - Xexerss (talk) 00:33, 5 April 2022 (UTC)
