- Hey, thanks for making that last edit on mytalkpage or i would have never seen the message.
- Ok, first, on the merging articles thing: To propose an article for merging with another, go to both pages and put {{merge|the other page}} so if you wanted foo to merge with bar, on the page of foo you would put {{merge|bar}} and on bar you would put {{merge|foo}}. Then on the talkpage of one of the articles, you would put a section named "merge" or "merger" and people will discuss it. If you dont get many people, I would suggest being bold and merging the 2 articles (note, don't actually do the merge, I will explain why later, just write the articles together so they are merged well). Then you should get an admin, you can ask anyone on WP:LOA and if they agree, they will perform a history merge, which means they actually merge the 2 page history's so wikipedia will comply with the gfdl. Then you can paste your written version after the merge is complete.
- On infoboxes, usually on the infobox template page will be instructions of how to use with all the parameters, etc.. If you don't know which infobox to choose for an article, there is Category:Infobox templates, where you can go down sub-categories until you find the relevant infobox for the article you want.
- Hope this helps! GeorgeMoney (talk) 07:27, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
Leela's Wristband
editYeah, I should probably have marked that as a potential merge to begin with -- I wasn't paying enough attention. I went ahead and merged in the new info, reorganizing and condensing it a bitin the process. If you need anything that was on the Leela's Wristband page, its history is still there. —Celithemis 07:53, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
- hey, I was 12 (!) when this amicable interaction occurred and it ended up being a minor formative moment for me? idk, but I definitely still think about it sometimes. thanks for being nice! YaddaYaddaBlahBlahBlah (talk) 09:11, 2 March 2024 (UTC)
Also, for articles that might be considered fancruft, you may want to seek out a specialized wiki on the subject. Not to shamelessly self-promote (okay, maybe a little) but you could stop by the Infosphere, which is a Futurama wiki. In particular, you may want to check out the article Wristlojackimator, to see if you'd like to add anything. Buddy13 21:34, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
Spoilers
editAre you familiar with the concept of spoilers? You edited Poppler to reveal their true identity, defeating the whole point of the spoiler-proof redirect. Please be more careful. —Keenan Pepper 01:04, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
