Invitation to editathons at BU
editHI! I'm traveling to Boston to host an editathon at BU on April 21 and April 22nd. I'd love to have some more experienced editors join us. I hope you can attend and feel free to bring people! Looking forward--Heathart (talk) 15:39, 12 April 2017 (UTC)
Categories
editI reverted your edit at Jim Thorpe as the editing guideline at Wikipedia:Categorization#Categorizing pages says "... if a page belongs to a subcategory of C (or a subcategory of a subcategory of C, and so on) then it is not normally placed directly into C." The category 'Carlisle Indian Industrial School alumni' includes as sub-categories 'Carlisle Indians baseball players' and 'Carlisle Indians football players'. The article was already placed in the last two categories, and therefore should not be placed in the parent category. - Donald Albury 18:54, 11 July 2018 (UTC)
- I see. Makes sense, thank you! Yakokhalas (talk) 19:08, 11 July 2018 (UTC)
- There are a lot of policies, guidelines and other such in Wikipedia. It can take a while to become familiar with even a fair portion of them. I've been editing for more than 12 years, and I still have to scratch around to find out how to handle something I don't use very often. I hope you enjoy editing here. - Donald Albury 19:17, 11 July 2018 (UTC)
