License tagging for Image:John and Glenn.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:John and Glenn.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

Wikipedia policy requires that material added to articles must be accompanied by reliable and verifiable sources to support the claim. While I was able to find a source to support Glenn Taranto's attendance at Monsignor Donovan High School, I have been unable to find any evidence of a connection for Taranto to Island Heights based on a search of Google / News / Archives / Books, and as such the material has been removed again. Please do not reinsert this without the required sources. If you can find a source in a newspaper, magazine or book I will be happy to assist in the necessary formatting. Please feel free to contact me on my talk page if I can be of any assistance. Alansohn (talk) 04:48, 20 July 2011 (UTC)
- If it's about yourself, see Wikipedia's conflict of interest policy, which opens up a whole other can of worms. Regardless of who it's about, a primary source is never acceptable, and material from independent reliable and verifiable sources, such as newspapers, magazines or books are the kinds of material that would usually be acceptable.
