Fantastic! To get things started, please take a look at WP:VAND,WP:WARN and WP:GAIV, and let me know if you have any questions. I'll be glad to answer them! Right now, our goal is to get you 100% familiar with "The Big Four Steps", that is Identify, Restore, Warn, Report... but ah, there is so much to do. :) Just become familiar with those articles, and then we can get started with the cool stuff... reverting vandalism! Ok I'm here...

OMG I am so Sorry... I got off track for a bit, our daughter has a urinal-trac infection and we had to take her to the doctor then two days later our son got the chicken poxs. Just finished reading everything tonight so what's the next step? TheGoofyGolfer (talk) 02:24, 19 June 2012 (UTC)

Also I do have a question, if I find an edit on a Wikipedia article and I'm not sure if it is a good faith edit or just someone being an idiot and posting vandalism, that is to say posting something that doesn't look like vandalism but is and I'm not talking about something like an edit that says "Ba Ba Booey" or "Howard Stern Rules", "Madonna Sucks" etc.. I mean wording that is subtle. How do you tell positively when someone is just posting something naively or it is blatent vandalism disguised to look like a normal edit? First of all, no problem! I'm actually rather busy this week as well (in DC, actually, for a national science competition), but don't worry about not being here <-- we're all volunteers! :)

Determining between good faith and vandalistic edits isn't something that comes immediately. For now, I think your best step when coming to those types of edits is actually coming to me, as your instructor, so I can help you recognize those subtle details, and eventually make it so you don't even have to think about it.

The next step is actually deciding what you want to learn from the CVUA - are in you interested in WP:Twinkle? Or would you prefer manual vandalism reverts? Thanks! Theopolisme _TALK 09:20, 19 June 2012 (UTC)

Go ahead and activate it, and I recommend just using it - there's a slight learning curve, but it comes quickly. Definitely read through the manuals here, and let me know if you have any other questions -- otherwise, I'll just watch your Twinkle edits and let you know my thoughts. I've been checking out your Twinkle contributions, and you seem to have a clear grasp at what vandalism is and is not, as well as some serious TW-Skills! Nice work! Seriously, let me know if you have any questions or whatnot... but otherwise, I think you are totally ready to apply for rollback rights. Many thanks, I am trying to do my best to weed out what is and what isn't vandalism and as I'm sure you saw in my edits I made a couple of faux pas along the way but I acknowledged my mistake and immediately corrected it. I have to admit that using Twinkle has made fighting the vandalism a lot easier then when I was doing it manually, everything is at a click of a button, the reversions, the warnings, the welcomes etc.. no having to take a long time of typing everything out and hopefully using Rollback will make it even easier.
