Art Workers' Coalition
editHi Yet Another User 2, is this revert you performed on Earthdancer128's edits a mistake perhaps? I would undo it, but I don't want to do that before I understand what prompted you to revert. Thanks, Mduvekot (talk) 01:11, 7 September 2016 (UTC)
- I think the revert might have been a mistake. I will undo it myself. Thanks for contacting me! A User (contribs) 01:14, 7 September 2016 (UTC)

Edit summaries
editPlease explain your edits, esp. reverts, in an edit summary. I just reverted a revert you made on The Mekons because I don't understand what is wrong with the edit. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 03:19, 7 September 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks for contacting me about the issue! It looks like I was reverting and editor who was evading a block! A User (contribs) 03:22, 7 September 2016 (UTC)
Predictive analytics edit
editit was removed because it was added based on a citation in "Predictive Analytics" by Kevin Roebuck, who was quoting Wikipedia in another section. It is not a valid citation or claim. I was the one whom made the initial entry.74.96.151.44 (talk) 00:33, 9 September 2016 (UTC)
- Sorry! My mistake! A User (contribs) 00:34, 9 September 2016 (UTC)
- No worries at all. It is good to be treated with some respect here, something that is fading. 74.96.151.44 (talk) 00:37, 9 September 2016 (UTC)
September 2016
editI noticed that a message you recently left to a newcomer may have been unduly harsh for a newcomer. Please remember not to bite the newcomers. If you see someone make a common mistake, try to politely point out what they did wrong and how to correct it. Thank you. RexPatricius (talk) 06:39, 9 September 2016 (UTC)
deletion of Virgil Grandfield entry
editHello, User 2. I am asking if you will reconsider your decision to delete the entry about me, Virgil Grandfield. The original entry was created by a different user six years ago (March 2010). Without understanding the rules concerning "autobiographical" entries, I tried to update the entry tonight with new information and relevant links for a national magazine award I recently won. The award was related to issues in the original article, so was not a significant change, just an update of information. I also removed a defunct Facebook group link to also improve the editorial quality of the entry, and made a minor change to the opening paragraph to reflect the award. Because I did not understand the rules, if you cannot restore entry with the new information I added, would you at least consider removing my edits and restore the entry as it was created in 2010? Thanks a lot. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Virgil Grandfield (talk • contribs) 07:09, 9 September 2016 (UTC)
Hello, again, User 2. On my screen it seems as if you have already undone the deletion of the entry in my name. If that is the case, thanks a lot. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Virgil Grandfield (talk • contribs) 07:16, 9 September 2016 (UTC)

Want to help test advanced new tools planned for Recent Changes?
editHi Yet Another User 2! I’m reaching out to you because our logs tell us you’re an active Twinkle new user welcomer. The WMF Collaboration team is working on new tools that we hope will be useful to people engaged in reviewing recent changes, fighting vandalism or supporting new users. We want to test them for usability with editors who are experienced with relevant wiki work. If you’re interested in helping to shape this new technology—we’d like to hear from you.
The testing should take about an hour, will be conducted online, and will take place during the next few weeks. To participate, please email dchen[at]wikimedia.org with the subject line Twinkle Welcomer. Include the following information:
- Username
- Email where we can reach you
- Your city or time zone
- Best time to talk to you
- Your primary use(s) of Twinkle or Recent Changes (e.g., reviewing recent changes, reviewing with a particular focus (specify), anti-vandalism, new-page review, welcoming new users, etc.)
Thanks!
ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!
editHello, Yet Another User 2. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
