- 10 Keeps
- 1 Rename (which I take as a keep)
- 6 Deletes
If I counted right. Consensus is almost 2:1 for Keep. Any reason why this can't be ended? It did better on this vote than the last one. --71Demon 19:37, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

Citing References
editHello
I am working on the Burger King advertising article and am having some trouble citing the reference I used in garnering the data.
Here are a list of things I need help with:
- I watched commercials that were available on YouTube and RetroJunk; these older ads provided me with several of the older slogans and product information, but I have read that these websites should not be used as references. That the commercials exist is a fact and the information they provide is true, so how do I cite them?
- I used the copyright information in the commercials to date slogans, how would that be cited?
- Where there was a cross-promotional ad (E.G. Aladdin and BK Kids club) that included a slogan, I used the release date of the material that was being cross-promoted (from IMDb). So if Aladdin came out in 1992 and a slogan was in a commercial that was featuring the cross-promotion, the slogan is from 1992 also. That is a legitimate research technique that is used a lot of situations, I just do not know how to cite it.
All help would be greatly appreciated.

Betty Ireland article ranking
editHi! Your prolific work on WP:WVA is really impressive! I just wanted to say that I thought the Betty Ireland article might be better suited for at least a Mid ranking. Per the project's guidelines, I posted the reasoning here: Talk:Betty_Ireland/Comments. Here's what I wrote there:
- I wouldn't call the Betty Ireland article "trivial." I think it's fair to say she is "reasonably notable on a local level within West Virginia without necessarily being famous or very notable outside of West Virginia."
I didn't want to just change your ranking, as I'm not a member of the project, but I hope you'll consider reassessing the article's importance. Take care. Justen 17:13, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

Review for Ohio State Route 7
editIf you have time, could you review Ohio State Route 7 for clarity, specifically under the Chesapeake and Proctorville bypass headings? I expanded upon both sections and added citations (some of which will have some date issues solved soon), but they kind of seem confusing. I will be redoing the map for the Chesapeake bypass soon and use some other referencing system for the interchanges, and will make a map for the Proctorville bypass. Boesen school
editThanks for the info. Wiki always has something new to offer. Mind, I'm none the wiser as to exactly why it was considered a candidate for deletion, though I suppose that is partly the point of prod. I noticed that someone had done a hatchet job on what may be perfectly sensible photos, just inserted onto the page in an incomprehensible way. Did you reply to MonteBoesen that you had sorted it? (as you replied to me, I imagine you must have, but just getting overly involved since I have done anyway) Sandpiper 22:32, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
Formatting
editThere are several problems with the formatting of the KKK cat articles. Firstly, do not ever use tables in XFD discussion. It is a discussion, not a vote, and people cane discuss whatever they choose. Also, You thoughts on the topic are implied by your nom, so no need to do a "as nom" thing. Additionally, do not strike or edit other user's comments in a discussion.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. We may disagree on this topic, but we are both working to improve Wikipedia, so I'd be glad to help. youngamerican (ahoy hoy) 20:47, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

Recovery Realm
editHey Young American,
A few days ago, the article on Recovery Realm was deleted on the grounds that it was not, (what's the word?) notable enough. I fully agreed with that. Now, the RR people have again raised their heads in an article called Online Addiction Recovery. It's basically just an ad for their webpage, and I have tagged it with the {{advert}} tag. I can't figure out how to get back to the administrator who deleted the RR article (I'm still pretty new around here), but I figured you might want to look at the Online Addiction Recovery article and consider making it go away. Thanks Cmichael 20:42, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the appreciation
editI'm glad to know someone cares about these lists I'm creating. After all, why not have them all available in one place? I've completed the Supreme Court of Appeals justices, but finding their exact successions is extremely difficult. Did you know the WV Supreme Court was basically abolished and re-established in 1872? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Mphamilton (talk • contribs) 13:21, 5 March 2007 (UTC).
West Virginia
editSupreme Court of the United States is the main link to that body; if we link to something, it should be directly to there. I think that there are enough references to that body not to merit a link, but it seems (from your edit history) that you are much more familiar with the article and subject (I was just passing through). Good job on your edits, and keep up the good fight, fellow Welshman! OverMyHead 16:37, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

Problems with a WikiTable (any ideas?)
editI am having problems with the following table. I cannot get the year "1883" to move onto the next line (row) in uniformity with the other years. 1882 needs to have two names in one column, so I expanded its rowspan to 4. I cannot get 1883 to line up as a result. Mphamilton 17:04, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
- I have been using the sandbox and have tried what I believe is every possible combination to fix it. I'm still stuck. I have a call into a help editor, but they aren't responding. I knew that you could at least point me in the right direction. Mphamilton 17:18, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
I had to revert your closing of the above AfD, as the portion of the AfD that dealt with Estadio Norchetti was ongiong and had not been settled (ie likely deleted by the closing admin, whoever that might be). I had previously speedied Derpotivo football club after finding it through edit history (the AfD tag had been removed by an anon). My comments on the AfD came later and were directed at the statium. Cheers and good luck with the editor review. youngamerican (ahoy hoy) 13:16, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- Indeed. To be honest I missed Estadio Norchetti. I guess I saw red and got too excited. Sorry. --Selket Talk 16:15, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
Re:Randy Moss
editNot exactly. I am a moderator at PatsFans.com, where there was a poster (unlikely that he was a Pats Fan), who likely made the edits on the Moss page, then proceeded to post 2 different threads on our forum. He's being banned there, and hopefully he doesn't spam the Moss page again. Pats1 02:33, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

fully spammy?
editHi, If you are going to bite a newcomer, maybe you can tell me why you think this is a "fully spammy" article rather than just saying that without anything to back it up. Abridged 22:31, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
- "spammy" is an insult, isn't it? That's all I was saying. But forget about it; maybe "spammy" is not an insult to you. I really wanted to ask why you find my article spammy, so I can fix it. Abridged 23:15, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks. Imagine my suprise at having my first article deleted five minutes after I drafted it and pushed the "save" buttom. Kind of got my hackles up, that did! Abridged 23:43, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
- OK, now I totally understand. Thanks for explaining. Abridged 23:56, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
- Sounds like good advice. Thanks again. Abridged 00:25, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
West Virginia Politics
editI have no problem with you removing my post on West Virginia Politics. It was not properly supported with sources, and was based on my reading and perception of why West Virginia has swung Republican in recent Presidential races. If I can find supporting studies or polling to back up my perception of what is going on in WV, I will post them in the article.
I did read something after 2000 that the coal miners did not vote for Gore en mass because they were worried about his environmental policies. That is a big voting block in WV. Also it does seem as though WV supports the southern American values of supporting god, country and the military, and that may have something to do with the trend towards Republicans in Presidential elections. But you are right that WV is a confused state when it comes to politics, it is much more pro-union than southern states and does not support southern politics like the death penalty. I'm sure there are many gun owners in WV, and that has also hurt the Democrats on the national level. Oh well, we'll see what 2008 has in store, it seems that coal burning and global warming will be big issues in coming elections.
Robert Byrd Trivia
editYou removed the Robert Byrd trivia entry related to his vote against confirmation of Thurgood Marshall and Clarence Thomas. You did not cite a reason for doing this other than labeling it a "snark". How did this inclusion regarding Byrd's voting record violate Wikipedia policy? Could you please make a better argument for why this trivia entry is inappropriate. If not I will feel compelled to reinstate it through means of an entire section about his vote for and against Supreme Court nominees. Patterns such as these are worthy of mention no matter how negative it may or may not reflect on its subject.Light Bulb 00:02, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
