Managing a conflict of interest

edit

Hello, Youngjimmymusic88. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Wikipedia:Requested articles/music/Performers, bands and songwriters, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. RandomCanadian (talk / contribs) 15:48, 30 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

YOUNG JIMMY moved to draftspace

edit

Thanks for your contributions to Young Jimmy. Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because COI editors should create drafts and submit them through AFC instead of making them directly in mainspace. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Justiyaya 16:36, 27 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, what is AFC? I was working on this article in the draft space for a while I copied and pasted it in the main space as I couldn't think of anymore edits to add. Youngjimmymusic88 (talk) 16:45, 27 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Ofcourse Articles For Creation.. Youngjimmymusic88 (talk) 16:54, 27 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Youngjimmymusic88, because you have a conflict of interest you need to go through WP:AFC. You should not be creating articles in mainspace and should never use copy/paste. S0091 (talk) 16:59, 27 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
I sent the article through AFC, thanks a lot for your help. Youngjimmymusic88 (talk) 17:06, 27 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Youngjimmyinsilver.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Salavat (talk) 05:21, 7 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:Youngjimmyinsilver.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Youngjimmyinsilver.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{permission pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. Here is a list of your uploads. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Salavat (talk) 03:35, 9 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Young Jimmy

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Young Jimmy, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.   Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article, or a draft for a Wikipedia article, about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Notable people who have edited Wikipedia). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Managing a conflict of interest

Reverting AFC declines and removing comments

edit

Please stop. If you continue to add promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, as you did at Draft:Young Jimmy, you may be blocked from editing. Sam Kuru (talk) 14:02, 27 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

In no way am I adding promotional or advertising material. You are not here to help this article clearly. Letters and numbers already tried to get a speedy deletion for the same reason and was declined and so will you. Youngjimmymusic88 (talk) 14:11, 27 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

  • Please don't keep removing declined "Articles for Creation" submissions. The record of past submissions must be kept, so that reviewers can see it when they assess any future submissions. If yiu do the same again it is very likely that an administrator will block you from editing, to prevent you from continuing. JBW (talk) 22:22, 27 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Articles for creations currently stated it takes about 7 weeks to review. I sent this article a day ago and it’s getting this much attention from editors and rejected this fast? A day later? Another editor wanted a speedy deletion and was declined. I declared a COI in April of 2023. This article is extremely neutral. There are clearly biased reactive emotional editors overseeing an article they didn’t create nor do they want on Wikipedia. Youngjimmymusic88 (talk) 22:39, 27 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
You don't seem to meet musical notability on wikipedia is the reason. Oaktree b (talk) 15:42, 20 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
I already know where you stand on this article on YOUNG JIMMY no need to remind me. If that is the case move towards deletion. Youngjimmymusic88 (talk) 16:43, 20 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Your submission at Articles for creation: Young Jimmy (February 28)

edit

Your recent article submission has been rejected. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reasons left by TheChineseGroundnut were: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. This submission is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was: Appears to be an Autobiography and obviously promotional. Read WP:What Wikipedia is not.

COI (tag)

edit

To user @justlettersandnumbers I declared a COI 6 months ago on my talk page for this article already. You adding a COI tag is redundant. Another moderator said this article was “blatant promotion” and another disagreed and said “not so blatant”. Your tags are your opinion “may nots” everything stated in this article is backed by creditable publications and sources (citations). If you really don’t want this article up request a speedy deletion like that other user failed to do. Youngjimmymusic88 (talk) 14:56, 18 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
