Article moves
editHi Yudhir Aacharya
I am alarm,ed to see that you have bene moving a lot of articles to new titles, on the basis of your views about correct terminology. Nepal is outside my area of expertise, so i don't know the merits of your reasoning ... but I do know that such widespread changes need discussion.
Please discuss this at WT:NEPAL, and rather than moving any more articles, please use WP:RM to start a discussion on the article titles.
Thank you. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 13:31, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
Pradesh
editHi Yudhir Aacharya, You renamed all the articles of Provinces of Nepal without a discussion, which is not appropriate. You should leave a note on the talk page of related articles for discussion. The Nepali term Pradesh with Province's name is official adopted so no need to renamed in English. Pradesh is also officially used in India too for Indian states e.g. Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh. Please revert your edits related to Provinces of Nepal as it were previously. Thank you--- 👤Raju💌 14:56, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
- Raju Babu, long time! I have moved them back, unless I missed one somewhere.I have intentionally left Lumbini Province alone because if I move it, it becomes controversial, and then it will go back to the stable title Province No. 5, which will bring a lot of complaints and possibly move-warring from people who want it updated asap. So, I think we should leave it there now, and two or three weeks later, start a discussion somewhere on whether to use "Pradesh" or "Province" for all our articles. Regards! editHello, I'm Kautilya3. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Darchula District seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Kautilya3 (talk) 10:38, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for October 25
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Lumbini Province, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Janajati. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
