Euro gold and silver commemorative coins (Germany)

edit

Hi there,

Welcome to Wikipedia! I saw you did some edits to a similar article, just updating the summary for Germany. I was wondering if you want to take a look at Euro gold and silver commemorative coins (Germany) and update it since a lot of information is still missing. I can definitely help you but right now I am busy doing other countries (I am finishing Greece and Monaco now, want to jump to Portugal and Italy next since nothing is done for them yet). If you want to help and enrich the German article please use Euro gold and silver commemorative coins (Belgium) or Euro gold and silver commemorative coins (Finland) as samples.

Let me know if you need help, thanks, Miguel.mateo (talk) 04:11, 10 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hey Yuricle Great Job on the Germany article, extra hands are always appreciated. Kevin hipwell (talk) 18:06, 15 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yuri, I told you that was not only me looking after these articles ;) Miguel.mateo (talk) 00:22, 16 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yuricle,

I found this that could be useful, they are the 2009 coins to be minted by Germany: http://www.numisforum.eu/viewforum.php?f=76&sid=41cb4e850ccc7df41b146334e48bfd28 I am sure you know this already, but just in case.

Thanks, Miguel.mateo (talk) 01:13, 18 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thank you, I will add some of them to article.

Hi Yuricle,

I have found this too, I am not sure if there are inconsistencies in the sources, but can you please take a look?

http://www.numisforum.eu/viewtopic.php?f=76&t=8208

I can see four coins there that I do not see in the article. Thanks, Miguel.mateo (talk) 04:34, 22 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Actually this is confusing, there are more gold images here too: http://www.numisforum.eu/viewtopic.php?f=76&t=9765&start=15 are these proposals or ar ethey coins already minted?
Thanks, Miguel.mateo (talk) 04:37, 22 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
Hi, Miguel,
I believe this is a proposals. For example: "100 years Marion Dönhoff" coin will be minted in November 2009 and there's only draft.
Here's translated official press release about this coin: http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http://www.deutsche-sammlermuenzen.de/bmf/informationen/news/detail_2008_11.jhtml;vfssessionid=5ULXVIMLBQ5EUCTYER1CNAQ?id=cat10023%26navAction=jump
And here's draft image as well as other proposals: http://www.muenzblog.de/entwuerfe-fuer-10-euro-muenze-graefin-doenhoff-2009/
That makes sense, for a second I thought that out of the blue Germany decided to mint several gold coins, so I was a bit lost ;) Thanks for clarifying, Miguel.mateo (talk) 15:24, 22 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

2019 US Banknote Contest

edit
  US Banknote Contest
November-December 2019

There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons.

In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate.

If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions here
