The article Paul Eugene has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.
Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 21:33, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Paul Eugene
editA tag has been placed on Paul Eugene requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Woland (talk) 21:38, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
- As explained above, the article doesn't assert that Mr. Eugene meets the notability standards of WP:BIO, nor does it assert that his notability has been recognized by reliable independent sources, see WP:V. NawlinWiki (talk) 21:49, 26 August 2008 (UTC)

Request reason:
I have commited no violations of Wikipedia rules that i am aware of. Please can you explain why I have been blocked, and allow me to edit once more?
Decline reason:
I think it may be related to the above warnings, which you ignored to repeatedly recreate an inappropriate article. When people ignore multiple warnings, they often are blocked because it's the only way to stop them. FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 12:14, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
Hi FisherQueen - I didn't repeatedly recreate that article. I questioned why I couldn't create it at the time, but then took it on the chin that i would have to leave it. That is some time ago and i have been using Wikipedia since then in a normal way, editing etc.
Am I now going to be unblocked?
- Thank you for the note- I checked your block log, and you do not appear to be blocked at all, so you aren't blocked in relation to the Paul Eugene article. I apologize for my error. My guess is that you're caught in an autoblock related to the block of some other user; could you try the autoblock correctives listed here? If you can't clear the autoblock yourself, you can help us identify the ip address you are using that's causing the difficulty. I myself am good with writing and editing but sadly lacking in tech skills, so I've never figured out the trick of identifying and correcting autoblock problems, but those instructions will bring you to the attention of an administrator who does know how to do it. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 22:28, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
Many thanks FisherQueen!!!! {{unblock-auto|1=194.176.105.39|2=Please [[WP:ACC|request an account]] if you are new. If you are logged-in and can't edit, use {{tl|unblock}} to request a block exemption.<!--{{checkuserblock}}-->|3=Euryalus|4=}}
- Looks like the underlying ip is a college or hospital... it's causing the usual amount of pointless vandalism but the timing makes me wonder if there's a different named account using that ip abusively? -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 16:27, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
- Hi. The CU block on the IP 194.176.105.39 was placed by Dominic. The IP then spent some time abusing the unblock and helpme templates, so I temporarily modified Dominic's block to prevent talkpage editing. I removed this modification a few hours later on the thankfully correct assumption they would have gotten bored. So - the actual hardblock is Dominic's not mine, I'm just a janitor doing some post-block sweeping :) I have no view on either this unblock or the original IP block - just passing on the info. - There are relevant comments on this here and here. I have no view on the specific unblock request on this page for the reasons I noted above. Having regard for the points Dominic makes, if anyone feels an unblock here is warranted they need not ask me first. Euryalus (talk) 02:20, 7 April 2009 (UTC)

Hi I have replaced the previous template with a further one as requested. Hope this can be looked into for me. If it is just that I can't edit while using this IP address due to some other user's vandalism, then so be it. I would rather be able to use this IP address, as access elsewhere is limited.ayyem (talk) 12:39, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
I have granted your account an exemption from IP blocking. This will allow you to edit through full blocks affecting your IP address when you are logged in.
Please read the page Wikipedia:IP block exemption carefully, especially the section on IP block exemption conditions.
Note in particular that you are not permitted to use this newly-granted right to edit Wikipedia via anonymous proxies, or disruptively. If you do, or there is a serious concern of abuse, then the right may be removed by any administrator.
Appropriate usage and compliance with the policy may be checked periodically, due to the nature of block exemption, and block exemption will be removed when no longer needed (for example, when the block it is related to expires).
I hope this will enhance your editing, and allow you to edit successfully and without disruption. Mangojuicetalk 13:01, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
Mangojuice you are a gem - many thanks for doing that!
I will certainly take care, and you will be here to tell me if not!! ayyem (talk) 11:46, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
