editThank you for making a report on Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, it appears that the editor you reported may not have engaged in vandalism, or the user was not sufficiently or appropriately warned. Please note there is a difference between vandalism and unhelpful or misguided edits made in good faith. If the user continues to vandalise after a recent final warning, please re-report it. Thank you. Zaenon (talk | contribs | CentralAuth) 00:57, 14 July 2017 (UTC)
- I didn't get to see the report you made, but I have a hunch it was about the Parental alienation syndrome page. I followed up with another ANI making note of the incident with a user with a very similar name and making the same edits. I'll let you know what happens. — Myk Streja (when?) 02:45, 16 July 2017 (UTC)
- @Myk Streja: It was actually a WP:UAA report with a user named Acdmins. The username seemed to be a misspelling of "admins", used to spoof the regex on the Global title blacklist. This misspelling is actually used by an LTA which has no involvement of the page Parental alienation syndrome and tends to make accounts with attack names targeting administrators. - Gotcha. I saw you warned User:Towtamdc on his talk page and made assumptions. Anyway, the guy you warned was banned under another name and managed to avoid the block to create a new username. Maybe I'll get warned this time. — Myk Streja (when?) 03:18, 16 July 2017 (UTC)
- @Myk Streja: So the account is likely a sockpuppet of Wtamdcoulls then. I'm not saying that they ARE a sock of that user, though. Zaenon (talk | contribs | CentralAuth) 03:25, 16 July 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks for the link. Now I understand what (officially) a sock puppet is. Honestly, the guy didn't even try to disguise who he is. — Myk Streja (when?) 03:32, 16 July 2017 (UTC)
