All of these topic look promising, ZangAnqi. For author pages of famous authors, you may have some trouble finding a way to substantially contribute to a page. You may want to check out the Article Talk pages to see what other users are working on, or consider focusing on a few specific works by that author, or on editing or adding a summary of criticism of specific works that interest you.

A note on your formatting above: You've incorrectly inserted links to works within Wikipedia. If you are linking internally, to another article on the site, use the internal linking code, not external code. That way, you're link will look like this: The Adventures of Tom Sawyer rather than this: [1]. Save this second style of linking for external links used to cite sources in footnotes. on Death of a Salesman

  • I will create a "Reception". This pag only have Broadway production but it doesn't talk about the literal significance of this play.
  • I will also add a "Theme" on this page. This play focus on American ideology and American drems need to discuss.
  • The introduction in the beginning writes too much about prize. I will revise it, write a general introduction.
  • Some titles in the page are wrong, such as "Film and television adaptations" which should be "Film and Television Adaptations". I will correct this kinds of mistakes

Summary

edit

I will edit Death of Salesman. Even though it has enough details on Plot and characters, but it has no discussion on its theme and reception. I will add a part named “Theme” to discuss the theme of Death of Salesman. People have many different perspectives of understanding this play. What I want to do is to summary and to present all the ideas of the themes that I think are useful. It will include Visions of America Theme, Dreams, Hope and Plans Theme, Lies and Deceit Theme, Success Theme, Respect and Reputation Theme, Appearances Theme, Pride Theme, Abandonment Theme, Freedom and Confinement Theme, Betrayal Theme.[1] and some other parts based on the book Death of a salesman notes : including introduction, scene-by-scene summaries and commentaries, critical notes, character sketches, questions and theme topics.[2]. I will also find the reviews of the play. I want to give the reception from different aspects, such as plots, characters, theme, background and other aspects based on the book Twentieth century interpretations of Death of a salesman: a collection of critical essays.[3] In addition, I will add some information on the literal work itself in the introduction part of Wikipedia page based on the book Death of a salesman notes : including introduction, scene-by-scene summaries and commentaries, critical notes, character sketches, questions and theme topics.[4]. Finally, I will revise the format mistakes on the whole pages, such as "Film and television adaptations" which should be "Film and Television Adaptations". I will revise this kind of mistakes to make the page looks better. ZangAnqi (talk) 00:48, 1 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

These edits sound promising, ZangAnqi. I think the idea of adding themes and reception to this article is great! Just make sure that any themes you mention are not original research. In other words, you must summarize (in your own words) the themes that scholars have identified in this play, an provide references to those sources. You cannot simply copy word for word what Schmoop.com has to say about themes, or your edits will likely be taken down for plagiarism. If you use the exact words of others, use quotation marks and footnotes. A few other concerns: 1. You have not included internal links here to Death of a Salesman, and you have not yet posted your proposed edits on the Article"Talk page for the play, as required by 10/31.
