Chester

edit

Thank you for editing Chester. However, we already have the information about Hollyoaks further up the page (here), and external links to the Hollyoaks website are unnecessary on the page about Chester. The page about Hollyoaks already includes this link anyway. We need to be wary to prevent too many irrelevant links occuring in pages. Thanks anyway.

Please do not remove maintenance notices from articles unless the required changes have been made to the article. If you are uncertain whether the article requires further work, or if you disagree with the notice, please discuss these issues on the article's talk page before removing the notice from the article. These notices and comments are needed to establish community consensus about the status of an article, and removing them is considered vandalism. Uploading images

edit

Hi there, thanks for helping out Wikipedia by uploading images! Unfortunately, you seem to be marking all images with {{GFDL-self}}, which is incorrect unless you made the images yourself. I've corrected the licensing information on most of your uploads; could you please fix the licensing on Image:Logo-thimbletack.jpg? Also, Image:Yumi2.jpg and Image:Ami 2.jpg are fair use orphaned articles and have been marked for deletion. In the future, please select the correct licensing information for your image uploads. A list of tags can be found at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags. Pagrashtak 05:08, 22 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Gohdan.gif. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator.

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you have questions about copyright tagging of images, post on Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags or User talk:Carnildo/images. 17:35, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

Image Tagging Image:Ami123.jpg

edit

This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Ami123.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Tempshill 19:25, 10 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Stop using the GFDL-self tag

edit

Hi,

Stop grabbing copyrighted photos from elsewhere on the web and uploading them. They are copyrighted and it's a violation of Wikipedia policy. Also you must stop using the GFDL-self tag on images you upload. This seems to be intentionally misleading everyone on the images, which is dishonest. Tempshill 19:25, 10 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

This also applies to {{GFDL}} and other such GFDL tags also. Do not use a GFDL tag unless you are positive the creator or copyright holder has released the image under the GFDL. Please fix the licensing on Image:PRMX2.JPG, Image:Ami onuki.jpg, and Image:Yumi 2.jpg.
Please, stop putting incorrect licensing information on your image uploads! I've just corrected your licensing tags at Image:Ami123.jpg and Image:Puffy 1.jpg. You cannot declare a TV screenshot as public domain if you do not own the copyright. Pagrashtak 23:30, 20 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for Image:Buzz2.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Buzz2.jpg. Attempting to circumvent licensing problems with duplicate images

edit

Hi Zeldamaster3, as I've stated before, all images you upload must have appropriate and accurate copyright information. Uploading a duplicate copy of an image (with still incorrect copyright status), as you just did at Image:Amiyumi1996 123.JPG (a duplicate of Image:Amiyumi1996.JPG), is not the correct way to handle this. Please do not upload any more images unless you are willing to indicate the correct source and copyright status. Please do not upload duplicate images as well. This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:ICEBLUECover.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Image Tagging Image:DS Training.jpg

edit

This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:DS Training.jpg.

Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Vic Vipr 12:04, 7 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Image Tagging for Image:Sakuraunazukin.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Sakuraunazukin.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. License tagging for Image:Windfall.JPG

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Windfall.JPG. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 13:08, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Kawashima cropped klein.jpg)

edit

This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Kawashima cropped klein.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that your image can be used under a fair use license. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If your image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why your image was deleted. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Pagrashtak 02:08, 14 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

edit

Hi, you didn't state a source for the Gohdan image you uploaded. It helps to cite sources, mostly to allow people to find the source without having to go and ask the uploader. Did you find the image somewhere, or did you take the image from the game yourself? — SheeEttin {T/C} 22:16, 19 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
