Citations can't be inherited between Wikipedia articles

edit

You wrote in an edit comment "see parasitoid wasp page for citation". If a citation is needed it must be local; you can't rely on anything in any other Wikipedia page (or on any other Wiki for that matter). This is because people may remove or change the other page at any time, so we can't assume that what is there is correct. All the best, Chiswick Chap (talk) 15:09, 16 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, I realize that. I left the note in my edit just in case someone editing disagreed with the removal of the false information. Zelomorpha (talk) 15:16, 16 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Ways to improve Apozyginae

edit

Hi, I'm Boleyn. Zelomorpha, thanks for creating Apozyginae!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Needs more than 1 source.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Parasitoid

edit

Hi, you've just removed the only ref in a paragraph, as you decided to remove mention of one species: perhaps not wrongly in this case. It looks as if it did not in fact cover the remaining text, which is now in any case wholly uncited; if you have to do this, you should either tag the paragraph {{citation needed|date=July 2017}}, or better, when you make such a discovery, add a suitable citation. Or of course, if the ref is suitable, leave it alone. Many thanks, Chiswick Chap (talk) 22:54, 17 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hi there, if you are going to make changes, please make a statement about what you changed and how it improves the article. It's difficult to go back and look at each change individually. The changes you made are fine and not problematic.

Best, Gabrielle
