History of Guatemala

What is your source that Colonial Guatemala and the states to the south were governed by the Captain General of Yucatán, not from Guatemala? I don't recall ever hearing it that way. Please provide a source/reference, or change back. Thanks. -- Infrogmation (talk) 03:31, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
