Requesting to nominate you for adminship.

Although your account was recently made, I feel that judging from your contributions that you might make a decent administrator. However I was wondering if I can have your approval for nomination? Pickbothmanlol 20:54, 21 November 2009 (UTC)

I accept your generous nomination. --Zink Dawg -- 22:17, 21 November 2009 (UTC)
Per the above, are you comfortable with your talkpage being sprotected while you are running an RfA (meaning ip's are unable to interact with you). There are sysops whose talkpages are sprotected, on the basis that other admins are nearly always available, because of vandalism/harassment, and if you are happy to explain your situation then I will do the necessary. LessHeard vanU (talk) 22:40, 21 November 2009 (UTC) ps. I was thinking of 3 months, so the vandals will give up, but will leave any final determination up to you.

Dude, I think I made a mistake but if you really want to go with this then I would answer those three questions. Pickbothmanlol 23:26, 21 November 2009 (UTC)

Its all good, Try nominating me for adminship in a year or so. Sorry for disappointing you. Thanks for nominating me.--Zink Dawg -- 01:56, 22 November 2009 (UTC)

Request for adminship

Hi. I have withdrawn your request for adminship early, for a few reasons. One being your nominator withdrawing the nomination by commenting in the neutral section, which should not have happened. I will reopen it if you wish, but at the moment, I feel the nomination falls under not now.

Please don't be discouraged. Many of our finest administrators have failed their first RfAs. Take a look at the guide to requesting adminship and the admin reading list for more information about the minimum expectations surrounding adminship. Again, I'm sorry the nomination took a rather bizarre turn, and I hope you continue your great contributions! Thanks. PeterSymonds (talk) 00:05, 22 November 2009 (UTC)

Read below. I 'm not discouraged. But, I made a mistake of accepting it. Your right, I am not ready to be an administrator. I will go for it agene in a year or so.--Zink Dawg -- 01:51, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
Just wanted to give my two cents: I think you'll have a better chance of succeeding if you wait a year, but I think given 6 months of editting and a few thousand edits, I could support you sooner.--TParis00ap (talk) 04:56, 22 November 2009 (UTC)

Talkpage semi-protection

I have put it up at 3 months - you don't have to wait out the 13 weeks, if you wish you can ask for it to be lifted after a few weeks. As for the RfA, quite a few people go for it a little too early; stick around the project, get some editing experience, go to the places where admins work and see if you can't help out a bit, try voicing your opinion in a few places... Once you see how things work then you may consider running again. Cheers, LessHeard vanU (talk) 00:43, 22 November 2009 (UTC)

Thank you for doing that. I will let you know if I want to remove the protection on my talk page. About the Afa, I was a little surprised that someone nominated me for adminship. I could not resets the optometry to try. --Zink Dawg -- 01:43, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
