Procedural decline to close template, based on Master of Puppets decline below. Yunshui 雲水 08:44, 10 February 2014 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- You also don't seem to be blocked directly. What message are you getting when you try to edit? Peridon (talk) 20:15, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for the response, the following message I get is:
The IP address that you are currently using has been blocked because the IP range you are editing from is a web host provider. Since your IP acts like a proxy, because it hides your IP address, it has been blocked. To prevent abuse, these IPs may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. If you do not have any other way to edit Wikipedia, you will need to request an IP Block Exemption. If this is the case, please request to be unblocked using the [{unblock}] template, and provide a clear reason why you need to use a webhost. If you would prefer to do so in confidentiality, please contact functionaries at functionaries-en@lists.wikimedia.org. Furthermore, your IP address may also be blocked because there are proxies on it.
- Admins: Before applying IPBE, a checkuser needs to take a look at the account. This can be requested most easily at SPI Quick Checkuser Requests.
- Unblocking an IP or IP range with this template is highly unrecommended without at least contacting the blocking administrator.

- By the way, how would I make the previous a quotation? Zykodern (talk) 20:22, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
- Not quite sure what you're after with quotations (I just use "...). (If you mean those big floating things, I hate them...) Right, it's probably nothing you've done. Either do it the email way, or wait for an admin who knows about block exemptions to come along. (I've never found that out, which is rather bad.) Peridon (talk) 21:10, 9 February 2014 (UTC)

Can you provide a good reason as to why you use a webhost? Are you attempting to edit from home, a workplace, etc.? m.o.p 22:32, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
I use the VPN/Proxy from my home PC, strictly for privacy reasons. It's harder for the NSA to spy on me/us. Zykodern (talk) 22:54, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
- Nosy parker passing by here, using {{quotation|''quoted text''}} will wrap your text in a box. I've taken the liberty of doing so for you. Blackmane (talk) 23:53, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, we do not hand out IPBE (IP block exemptions) for reasons like this without a more substantial editing history to go off of.
- Also, while it's entirely possible I'm misreading your statement; when you say "me/us", do you mean to imply that multiple people use your account? m.o.p 03:13, 10 February 2014 (UTC)
Only I use the account 'Zykodern'. By us, I mean, an opportunity for normal individuals to ensure their web privacy. Zykodern (talk) 03:36, 10 February 2014 (UTC)
- Ah, understood. I do respect your need for privacy, but I won't be able to apply a block exemption at this time. We generally only do so for long-established editors or those editing out of China/similar locales. m.o.p 03:49, 10 February 2014 (UTC)
IMDb
editHi. In this edit, you cited content to the IMDb. I wanted to explain why I reverted this. The problem is that the IMDb is user-generated, which means that its data comes from readers, much like Wikipedia. So, we can't use this as a source on Wikipedia, since it's pretty much the same thing as someone just wandering over to a Wikipedia article and saying, "Trust me, this is correct." Sometimes this data is added by crew members themselves, sometimes it's added by the studio, and sometimes it's guessed at by people like us, who have no inside knowledge. For budgets and box office gross, we frequently use Box Office Mojo and The Numbers, two free services on the web. You can see some other sources at WP:FILM/R. If you run into difficulty identifying whether a source is reliable or can't find a good source for information you're pretty sure is correct, please feel free to ask for help at WikiProject Film. There are many helpful people there, and we can sometimes assist in locating sources. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 09:04, 12 October 2017 (UTC)
The box office mojo link says, "domestic only". Why do you keep changing it to "worldwide"? Zykodern (talk) 15:27, 12 October 2017 (UTC)
