Vargahan (Persian: ورگهان)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Vargahan Rural District of the Central District of Ahar County, East Azerbaijan province, Iran.[4]

editAt the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 960 in 208 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 923 people in 243 households.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 861 people in 231 households.[2]
