During the Late Cretaceous period, the uplifted margins of the grabens caused erosion of the pre-existing deposits of the Lower Cretaceous “Vigla Formation”.[1]
Fossil content
editIt contains radiolarian fossils dated to the late Barremian to middle Albian of the Cretaceous period.[2]
