Critical response

edit

Pat Mullen of That Shelf called Viking "Lafleur's best film yet", and analyzed it in part as an allegory for the technological mediations that society has had to cope with through the COVID-19 pandemic.[5]

The film was named to TIFF's annual year-end Canada's Top Ten list for 2022.[6]
