Viridis Graduate Institute is a non-profit distance learning institute focusing on ecological and psychological perspectives in higher education.
History
editViridis Graduate Institute was founded in 2011 by Dr. Lori Pye whose focus is Ecological Psychology and Environmental Humanities.[1][2][3] The name "Viridis" derives from the Latin term for "green, to sprout" or the notion of "green life," symbolizing the flourishing and growth of plants and vegetation.[4] John R. Ehrenfeld is a trustee of the Viridis Graduate Institute and also an adjunct faculty.[5]
