Waiporia egmont is a species of Orsolobidae that is endemic to New Zealand.[1]

Taxonomy
editThis species was described in 1985 by Ray Forster and Norman Platnick from a male specimen collected on Mount Taranaki.[1] The holotype is stored in the New Zealand Arthropod Collection under registration number NZAC03015012.[2]
Description
editThe male is recorded at 2.16mm in length. The abdomen has a strong chevron pattern dorsally.[1]
Distribution
editThis species is only known from Mount Taranaki, New Zealand.[1]
Conservation status
editUnder the New Zealand Threat Classification System, this species is listed as "Data Deficient" with the qualifiers of "Data Poor: Size", "Data Poor: Trend" and "One Location".[3]
