The Men's 77 kg weightlifting event at the 2006 Commonwealth Games took place at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre on 19 March 2006. The weightlifter from Ghana won the gold, lifting a total weight of 309 kg. India won the silver and Pakistan the bronze medal.[1]
