Wikipedia:Administrator elections/October 2024/Call for candidates

Welcome to the candidate sign-up page for the October 2024 administrator elections! Administrator elections are a new process that has been approved for one trial run. Anyone wishing to become an administrator may use this process, or the more traditional Wikipedia:Requests for adminship process. There is no difference between the administrators chosen through either method.

Administrators help keep Wikipedia running smoothly by using their extra "tools" such as blocking, protecting, and deleting. If you feel you are ready to take on the role, we encourage you to add your name below.

The only requirement is that you be extended-confirmed on the English Wikipedia; however, the community's expectations of administrators are much higher. Prospective candidates are advised to familiarize themselves with these expectations, including by reviewing successful and unsuccessful RFAs, reading the essay Wikipedia:Advice for RfA candidates, and possibly requesting an optional poll on their chances of passing.

To submit a candidacy, you should add your signature to the list below. Please only nominate yourself; once you are on the list, we will create a subpage for you where formal nomination statements (including those from other editors) can be posted. This subpage will be very similar to a Wikipedia:Requests for adminship subpage, containing the nomination section, the three standard questions, and a general discussion section. You will be notified once this subpage is created.
