Agenda
edit- Plan for the meeting: because not everyone can make it to today's meeting, we will talk through the proposals to flesh out the major issues concerning them, but not make a recommendation on them this week.
- Previous Business
- Any word from SFC, VT, or USC?
- Alex is working his way toward the right people to email at VT
- No response from SFC discuss list
- Two undergrads, the co-leaders of the Politics of Piracy class, are interested in being USC ambassadors
- Any word from SFC, VT, or USC?
- List of target schools and status at each (Annie and Frank)
- WMF team discussed sharing spreadsheet being used to keep track of potential schools. Something will be shared soon, probably on the Google Group where the spreadsheet can be accessible to all.
- Campus Ambassador selection (Annie and Alex) - present the proposal
- Annie and Alex will flesh out the reasoning behind the selection criteria
- Issues to consider: standarization, regionalization, flexibility, fun
- With a regional model, a group of ambassador at a given region will use the rubric to make their own decisions
- Quality control is an issue to think about with a regional model
- Also, the fact that campus ambassadors are inherently region-based, but how do online ambassadors fit in?
- List of target schools and status at each (Annie and Frank)
- Defining roles: rough first take on defining some of the ambassador roles at Wikipedia:Ambassadors
For next meeting
edit- Annie and Alex revise the Campus Ambassador Selection
- All - review Ambassador seleciton criteria
- All- review roles of ambassadors
- Follow up on Universities and contacting groups
