Discussion topics

Communication plan

• Discussion regarding developing communication program to include Signpost coverage and reinstating newsletter with the goal to improve communication and presentation of the program between the Ambassador Steering Committee and community at large;

Role and Responsibilities

• Discussion regarding transparency, evolution, and understanding of the role and responsibility of the Steering Committee;

Program planning and goal setting

• Discussion presenting various ideas to develop, improve, and ensure the perpetual existence of the Ambassador Program and Steering Committee

Communication

• In an effort to improve communication between the Ambassador program and community at large, Richard and Tom will spearhead developing an effective communication plan to include reinstating the newsletter and pursuing the inclusion of an Ambassador Report in the Signpost;

Role and Responsibilities

• Consensus to independently define the role of the Steering Committee independent of the WMF; decision for everybody to share ideas through email;

Program planning and goal setting

• Consensus to present and review new ideas on R/R, organization, and structure through email; Cindy will spearhead revamp and present proposals for discussion and revision through email;

Wrapup

• Discussion ensued encouraging members to be bold and proactive in their individual role and in the Steering Committee overall;
• Encouragement to maintain momentum toward improving communication and establishing and accomplishing goals
• Consensus to continue meetings on IRC until further notice
