Architecture Programs (Education background)
editThe National Architectural Accrediting Board is responsible for accrediting architecture programs in the United States. There are approximately 153 accredited Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral programs at 123 different institutions.[1] According to the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ASCA), HBCU's make up 5% of overall architecture programs however 32% of black architecture students are enrolled at an HBCU. Black students make up 5% of total enrolled students overall. [2] Many buildings on HBCU campuses were designed by black architects. [3]
