Writing about companies

General information

Articles on companies are an important part of Wikipedia, but present unique challenges. In particular, companies put effort into presenting an image that is good for their business. Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy states that articles must present a neutral and truthful picture, without being biased toward or against the subject. If you want to write about a company you own or work for, please see our conflict of interest guidelines first. Articles must not be written with the intention of promoting the company. External links should be kept to a minimum. Ideally just one link to the company's main website, or main English site if it is an international company. • Check your sources. All Wikipedia articles should be written based on reliable sources and those sources should be listed in the article.
