I think people who greatly contribute to WP:SPOKEN should get a barnstar like the one above. The criteria should be something like you have to do one of the following:
- Create ten good Spoken Wikipedia articles (only three people currently qualify).
- Create several long, high quality Spoken Wikipedia articles (a few might qualify).
- Do an incredibly good job making a Spoken Wikipedia article of one very long and very tricky featured article, possibly by adding external audio (nobody yet, I think).
This recognition of non-text contributions is in the same spirit as the Photographer's barnstar.

- I like the first image with the headphone. Kind of captures the spirit of the spoken project. Bratschetalk 5 pillars 01:21, Jun 12, 2005 (UTC)
Well, I don't know about the vote. Here's the proposal:

The Spoken BarnstarCategory: Spoken articles. See WP:SPOKEN The Spoken Barnstar may be awarded to an editor who makes outstanding contributions in the form of spoken articles for Wikipedia. Outstanding contributions may include: recording ten good articles, recording three featured articles, or doing an incredibly good job of recording one long, complex, excellent, featured article despite all odds. Everyone who has voted for the first proposal has reconsidered and voted for the final proposal. Is it safe to close this vote? Sango123 June 28, 2005 17:20 (UTC)

I think, in light of the newly created WikiProject Awards category, the Spoken Wikipedia barnstar should be moved to that page, because it's handled by a single project (WP:SPOKEN). Please comment. -- Ynhockey (Talk) 16:38, 21 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- If that's the case, why not? :) evrik 19:58, 21 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
