Discussion
editI've already done some test edits in my bot's sandbox: [1][2][3][4][5][6][7]. Note that I've since commented out the portion that adds the tf=MU*
, since it turns out that is not actually desired. Bot code is at User:AnomieBOT/source/tasks/TemplateReplacer.pm. Anomie⚔ 23:23, 31 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

- Trial complete. Edits in bot contributions. I see two potential issues: perhaps the bot should renumber {{WikiProjectBanners}} and {{WikiProjectBannerShell}} when those use multiple numbered parameters, although it doesn't seem to cause any issues when a blank number is included; and perhaps the bot should check for the special case of the template being alone on a line ("
\n{{...}}\n
") and remove it to "\n
" instead of "\n\n
". Anomie⚔ 11:28, 1 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]- I think it would also be better to replace the template with '' rather than '\n'. BJTalk 12:20, 1 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- The template is never replaced with "
\n
". The issue at hand is when the template being removed is the only thing on the line, should the empty line be left or should it be removed also? Anomie⚔ 16:43, 1 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
