Function details: Attribution will be a tool on WMF labs that attributes authorship to editors of a page on the basis of who added the individual words on the current revision of the made. Every revision of the page must be loaded and parsed, requiring the high read-rate that only bots are afforded.

Discussion

As other people are expected to help maintain the service on Labs, I can't use my existing bot account. If needed, I'm happy to set up another bot to monitor compliance with the read-only restriction. Josh Parris 21:30, 3 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
