Function overview: This is a request to allow me to use my account as a meatbot so that I can clean up a recent Bison-related mass message. The goal would be to use the undo button hundreds of times to undo a bunch of edits to user talkpages that accidentally inserted a "Bison" section heading into a bunch of talk pages (example). Because User:MediaWiki message delivery has sometimes made two edits on a userpage in a row, using the generic rollback feature may delete valid messages that would not be deleted when using the undo tool.
Automatic, Supervised, or Manual: Manual
Source code available: N/a
Links to relevant discussions (where appropriate): This was apparently an accident that happened when testing a bug with the mass message sender.
Edit period(s): One time run
Estimated number of pages affected: >2000
Namespace(s): User talk
Exclusion compliant (Yes/No):
Function details: I will be hitting "undo" <2000 times and saving the user talk pages.

edit- Note: This bot has edited its own BRFA page. Bot policy states that the bot account is only for edits on approved tasks or trials approved by BAG; the operator must log into their normal account to make any non-bot edits. AnomieBOT⚡ 22:44, 25 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

- If you are meat-botting in order to undo something you've done yourself, you do not need BRFA permission. Primefac (talk) 08:58, 26 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
- @Primefac: The user who triggered the mass message send was pharos, not me, so I'm a bit confused as to your comment. — Ⓜ️hawk10 (talk) 13:15, 26 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
- Let me rephrase - if you are meat-botting to undo an MMS mistake, you do not need a BRFA. Primefac (talk) 13:19, 26 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
- Given that that's the case, is there an easy way to withdraw this? — Ⓜ️hawk10 (talk) 15:10, 26 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
