Discussion
editI'm afraid I don't quite understand the need for bot approval here. This task is done without the use of an automated or semi-automated program, and doesn't require a bot flag, so what and why exactly are you requesting? - Kingpin13 (talk) 02:49, 31 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- I can't write program because I didn't understand language of programs. Bus88MRT (talk) 02:20, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Right, firstly, who's requesting this? You, or JustbeBPMF? Why are you replying to messages for him? If you can't program, then why are you (?) requesting approval for a program? - Kingpin13 (talk) 15:39, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
My concern is not directly related to bot approval but to the nature of the intended task itself. Regardless of whether the task is done manually or using an automated or semi-automated program, there is a long-standing consensus against mass-creating articles unless those articles are properly referenced and about topics that are individually notable (preliminary discussion to work out proper structure and formatting would also be useful). The type of run that took place on 13 March 2010—139 unreferenced, single-sentence articles were created—should not be repeated. -- Black Falcon (talk) 23:47, 8 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Denied. Task is too broad, and it doesn't seem the bot will be able to do it to the standard required. Also the bot op doesn't seem to understand what a bot is, or bot policy. - Kingpin13 (talk) 08:47, 10 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
