Operator: Fritzpoll
Automatic or Manually assisted: Automatic
Programming language(s): VB .Net with the DotNetWikiBot Framework
Source code available: No, but available upon request
Function overview: Report generation to User:Jennavecia/AFDBIO for listings of biography-related AfDs sorted by listing time
Edit period(s): every 24 hours
Estimated number of pages affected: 1 only - User:Jennavecia/AFDBIO
Exclusion compliant (Y/N): Not applicable
Already has a bot flag (Y/N): Yes
Function details: Simple task, reads the appropriate category to find active biographical AfDs, and determines which deletion log they are in. Also checks for a relisted AfD and makes a note next to the relevant listing. An example of the output can be seen at User:Jennavecia/AFDBIO. Strictly speaking automated and running regularly, so approval may/may not be required - to reduce drama, seeking approval anyway.
Discussion
editConsidering this only edits a user subpage, and the user requested it, I'll probs speedily approve. But just to make sure I understand it, the bot lists all open biographical AfDs sorted by the time they were listed? This is the bit which confuses me, is it sorted by the time it was added to the AfD log, to the category, or what? - Kingpin13 (talk) 09:01, 8 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Just sorted by date - the time isn't particularly relevant to the purpose, and AfDs tend to be closed by date rather than in the correct time sequence. All Lara wanted was to see AfDs with an idea of their closure date - so, no, no time is involved at all. Fritzpoll (talk) 11:52, 8 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Okay, I see, sorted by date relevant to when it should be closed. Okay, uncontroversial, almost doesn't even need approval. Bot is useful, and harmless. Make sure you respond quickly to messages from Jennavecia (or anyone else for that matter) :D. Speedily Approved. - Kingpin13 (talk) 12:01, 8 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
