Function details: I want to move some pages from specific category to correct category in some article special about Iran villages. For example take look at this category all the pages in this one are villages in Jowayin County and they should move to "Category:Villages in Jowayin County". There are similar categories like this in Iran's villages that should move to correct category and I want do this. I hope that I could describe my request clearly. How exactly do you decide which categories should be changed? Cydebot, for example, only uses consensus from WP:CFD. It doesn't appear your change was discussed or any relevant guideline linked. "I like to do my favorite changes myself" is not how consensus on English Wikipedia works when bots are concerned. Also, the speedy deletion tag doesn't follow the template syntax. — HELLKNOWZ ▎TALK 13:14, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
- As I said before, I'm going to move Iranian villages and cities pages to the better category. For example, I moved pages in Category:Populated places in Jowayin County to better categories "Category:Cities in Jowayin County" and "Category:Villages in Jowayin County". To make it easier for users to reach articles and pages about the villages and cities of Iran that are located in different counties. I want to give order to Iran's villages and cities category and move them from "Category:Populated places in --- County" to better like these ones "Category:villages in --- County" and "Category:Cities in --- County" as I done in my trail edits. I know it can't be important, but my contributions in other wiki projects show that I'm not looking for vandalism. --H.b.sh (talk) 14:08, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, but you want to do this under a bot flag, which means your edits must be uncontroversial and they must either follow policies/guidelines closely or there has to be community consensus to do them by bot. You have only said that you personally think these examples are "better". If you read WP:BOTPOL, it is clear you need to demonstrate consensus. - Yes, but I only grouping pages in "Populated places in (specific) County" to the "Villages" and "Cities" in that specific county and now users in all languages could find Villages and Cities in Iran more easier. For example as you see in this page Bahramiyeh is a village in Jowayin County and I put it in the correct Category "Villages in Jowayin County", Is it wrong? --H.b.sh (talk) 14:26, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
- Wikipedia:Consensus is not about whether you or me think it is right or wrong. You have to show BAG approving your requests that the task you are doing has and will have consensus, that either (a) such change is already documented and desired or (b) someone has reasonably discussed making such edits. Have you asked anywhere if this change is desired, like Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Iran or the several times mentioned CFD for individual or groups of categories? We can only approve this bot request if you receive consensus for your edits now and in future, we cannot really approve it on the terms that you will decide it yourself. — HELLKNOWZ ▎TALK 14:36, 22 December 2012 (UTC)

But if my clear examples can't make other users of English Wikipedia to trust me. This errors can be kept forever. - Well, I already explained the bot policy on consensus for tasks by bots as clearly as I can several times. I can't help you any further if you choose not to seek consensus and instead use your own judgment.
