Discussion
editWhich cases are covered by WPCleaner other than letters with accents? -- Magioladitis (talk) 17:17, 20 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- CHECKWIKI provides a whitelist at Wikipedia:WikiProject Check Wikipedia/Error 037 whitelist. -- Magioladitis (talk) 17:19, 20 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- I have asked the question on the WPCleaner's talk page. One of the characters that I know of right know is the '–' to '-'.-(t) Josve05a (c) 17:42, 20 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- and 'ß' to 'ss'. -(t) Josve05a (c) 17:50, 20 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- @Magioladitis: I think they are listed here. -(t) Josve05a (c) 17:59, 20 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- @Josve05a: then there are much less than AWB's list. -- Magioladitis (talk) 18:10, 20 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- @Magioladitis: (conflict of intrest? haha) I have found that WPCleaner is easier to use for a bot and it goes faster, and if there is any letter it cannot fix, it allowes me to manually fix it and then I can report it to be implemented in the next release. Plus that this program automaticly markes articles as fixed in the database. -(t) Josve05a (c) 18:19, 20 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- I wonder if NicoV could update their list based on AWB list. -- Magioladitis (talk) 23:30, 20 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- I have asked it to NicoV here. Please give more information, since my question might have been "a little bit weird" fomulated, since English is not my native language and it is 00.38 (am) here in Sweden, so I am a little bit tired. -(t) Josve05a (c) 23:38, 20 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- No worries. I am just trying to understand the benefits of WPC on this one. Conflict of interest as you said :) -- Magioladitis (talk) 00:12, 21 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Magioladitis Now WikiCleaner is using the same list (+ some own characters) as AWB. Please see Wikipedia_talk:WPCleaner#AWB_vs_WPCleaner.-(t) Josve05a (c) 21:55, 24 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Inform us when this next version is in your hands ready for testing. Josh Parris 22:54, 24 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Listed where on wmflabs and toolserver? Josh Parris 22:47, 20 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- @Josh Parris: Here & here. These lists are updated once a day. -(t) Josve05a (c) 23:12, 20 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
{{BAGAssistanceNeeded}} Nothing is happening here. This request is at a standstill. What should/can I do? -(t) Josve05a (c) 20:39, 22 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- 2 days and half a dozen comments is not "nothing", I've disabled the template. — HELLKNOWZ ▎TALK 20:45, 22 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- I meet a problem. If it is an article about a person, the program does not add the lastname first. Therefor I will change the settings and this request to make these kinds of edits supervised and manualy fixed untill a solution has been found. Or I might just use WP:AWB with all general fixes options turned off. (But that will in that case be in a diffrent request for approval). -(t) Josve05a (c) 10:31, 25 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
As a supervised task, this seems uncontroversial. Approved. Josh Parris 07:39, 5 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
