Function details: This bot will replace "External Links" in section headers with "External links", as per the manual of style. This should be a fairly uncontroversial task, AWB genfixes will be switched on, unless anyone has a problem with that. I was originally going to run this on my main account, but I decided that there were too many affected pages, and that it could be considered too minor a change.

Discussion

I fully support this. It's one of those little stylistic things that make a page look entirely unprofessional when gotten wrong. I don't think changing capitalization is purely cosmetic in the sense intended by WP:COSMETICBOT, but seeking approval is wise. ~ Rob₁₃^Talk 01:46, 24 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  - If you just run genfixes on these pages, which seems fine, be sure to include regex to skip any pages without the capitalized "External Links". Otherwise, a page which was fixed by another editor before your bot got there would likely receive a purely cosmetic edit. ~ Rob₁₃^Talk 02:20, 24 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Trial complete. The edits are the newest 50 at Special:Contributions/OmniBot. You'll notice that the early edits were pretty much all fixing external links, that's because I forgot to sort the list alphabetically.
