editI had to send the account request to WP:ACC. —I-20the highway 22:03, 17 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Approved for trial (5 days). Please provide a link to the relevant contributions and/or diffs when the trial is complete. MBisanz talk 05:14, 18 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment – I have some reservations about using "Wikiquote importer" as the account name for this bot because it might give the misleading impression of operating in an official capacity. "Importer" is the name of a user right, like "Administrator." Perhaps something along the lines of "Quote of the day bot" (but shorter) would be better. ~ Ningauble (talk) 12:05, 18 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Thanks MBisanz for the trial. As for you, Ningauble, thanks for the advice. —I-20the highway 19:55, 18 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- No problem; I agree the name is a bit of an issue, a bot should really have "bot" somewhere in the name. I can do a rename of the account once you settle on a new name. MBisanz talk 20:33, 18 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- WP:CHU/U -- must usurp Wikiquote importer with User:QOTDTemp, and then you can rename to User:"Quote"bot (a creative name) —I-20the highway 19:43, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Xeno did it, so I think we are all set. MBisanz talk 06:39, 20 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Works for me. ~ Ningauble (talk) 14:33, 20 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I am now coding an initial version. I'll let you know when I'm finished. —I-20the highway 20:20, 20 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- pywikipedia might choke on the username; filed rename. Other than that I'm ready for trial here. —I-20the highway 18:41, 21 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- The bot now runs completely automatically. I need to add that it is on the Toolserver, so I need to put an ad about it —I-20the highway 21:50, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Trial complete. —I-20the highway 20:11, 25 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Looks fine, which account am I approving again given the name change by Xeno? MBisanz talk 07:38, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Please approve Wikiquote importer. —I-20the highway 21:57, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
