Operator: X!
Automatic or Manually assisted: Automatic
Programming language(s): PHP with Pillar framework
Source code available: Not yet
Function overview: Adding parameter to talk page templates.
Edit period(s): One time run
Estimated number of pages affected: Roughly 1800
Exclusion compliant (Y/N): N
Already has a bot flag (Y/N): Y
Function details: Per this botreq, this bot will go around through all pages in Category:WikiProject EastEnders articles, and will get the text of each one. If it detects the presence of a listas parameter, it skips the page. Else, it adds it to the {{EastEnders project class}} template.
It's not exclusion compliant, seeing at the Pillar framework does not yet support it.
Discussion
editThe Pillar framework does support exclusion compliance, as far as I can see; can you not call checkexcluded('SoxBot') on each page before you modify it? — madman bum and angel 20:50, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Ah, yes. I didn't know that it existed. (X! · talk) · @075 · 00:47, 24 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'd like to see source code, especially as I'd understand it, but you're an experienced bot operator. Please make this task exclusion compliant, then you are Approved for trial. Please provide a link to the relevant contributions and/or diffs when the trial is complete.. — madman bum and angel 03:44, 27 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
