The result of the debate was listify and merge/delete. Timrollpickering 02:18, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Merge into Category:American astronauts, see guidelines. -- ProveIt (talk) 13:08, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- keep no need to merge all entries are already in the Category:American astronauts.Muntuwandi 17:57, 24 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Listify and delete, per ProveIt and Muntuwandi. Postdlf 16:18, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep Since we have category:African Americans it may as well be broken down into useful chunks. Cloachland 03:10, 24 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete and listify per above, occupation categories are generally not subdivided by race or gender. Dugwiki 19:13, 26 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- I beg to differ. There are many occupation categories that are classified by race and gender. Particularly if it is a small or unique group.
- Astronauts in general are a small group. And I don't see how African-American astronauts are more "unique" than any other ethnic/racial group. Delete.-choster 15:53, 28 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete per WP:CATGRS and above. Mairi 20:39, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the debate was delete. Timrollpickering 02:15, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Not objectively defined, see Wikipedia:Categories for deletion/Log/2006 December 14 for a similar discussion of "games similar to cricket". Tim! 09:53, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete. Whether something is similar to baseball or not seems subjective, and therefore in violation of Wikipedia:no original research. For example, I could argue that I don't think hurling is sufficiently similar to baseball. Picaroon 01:46, 24 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete per nom. Poorly defined: open to conflict, non-neutral. Jpeob 01:48, 24 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete "Forms of [name of sport]" categories are a good idea, where the new sports are deliberate spin-offs of a pre-existing sport, but this is not such a category and is inappropriate per the above comments. Cloachland 03:12, 24 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete The vague description of the category will create continuous debate. TSO1D 04:41, 24 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Delete - Deaths by location strikes me as a poor precedent to set unless the specific location of death is itself notable. Dying in a hotel room isn't particularly encyclopedic. Otto4711 06:51, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment. This category was discussed and renamed on May 6. ×Meegs 09:36, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the debate was merge. Timrollpickering 02:00, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Merge - Cat was nominated by me previously and closed with no consensus, which I don't understand since the only other person who actually "voted" agreed with the merge. Regardless, the two categories cover the exact same ground and the lead article is Mockumentary. Otto4711 04:42, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Merge per nom.~ZytheTalk to me! 14:24, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Merge I hate naming categories for made up (or new) words, but as long as the subject article is "Mockumentary," I'll go with it. -Freekee 06:18, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the debate was do not rename. Timrollpickering 01:56, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Rename, Less ambiguous. At first I thought someone was calling the television program Lost a "disaster" as a criticism of it. ~ZytheTalk to me! 02:52, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Rename per nom, logical parent of categories such as Category:Disaster movies. Postdlf 16:16, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose; it seem this is a category for disasters that have never occurred in reality, i.e. the destruction of Alderaan in Star Wars, not for fiction in which a disaster has occurred, i.e. A Night to Remember. Possibly rename to Category:Disasters in fiction? Her Pegship (tis herself) 18:44, 24 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose as per Pegship, although this category is kinda eh to begin with. SnowFire 04:58, 25 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose per Snowfire. People really need to put inclusion criteria or prupose statements on their category pages. -Freekee 06:23, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the debate was delete. Timrollpickering 01:54, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete as repost of Category:Batman actors, see discussion of November 15th. -- ProveIt (talk) 00:31, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete. Though not a direct repost, it uses the same general comcept in an even stupider fashion. Also, as it stands now, it's easily outdone by the Batman cast lists. Ace Class Shadow; My talk. 01:31, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Speedy delete as recreation, and because it's not even a category, just a misplaced article-type list. Postdlf 16:12, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete per nom. Superfluous category. Jpeob 05:03, 24 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete per other comments. Nathanian 16:14, 26 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
