(and Category:Wikipedia:Suspected sockpuppets of Sollog) User pages should usually not be categorized, and this infomation, if relevant, should be documented on an RfC or ArbCom evidence page. We have to remember that not all sock puppets are bad faith. The use of the related Template:Sockpuppet is debatable enough without this extra categorization. -- Netoholic @ 19:43, 2005 Feb 20 (UTC)

- As long as this is outside of the normal namespace, Keep. It's not so much that we don't want user pages in categories as we don't want normal articles mixed with user pages in categories. --ssd 02:36, 21 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- It's more that it's a misuse of category space. Dumping a bunch of user accounts into Category:Wikipedia:Suspected sockpuppets has no value, since they are randomly made part of the category. What purpose does it serve, and how can it make sense in the long-term when there are hundreds/thousands of accounts dumped into this category? -- Netoholic @ 04:50, 2005 Feb 21 (UTC)

- I'm assuming here that whether of not this category exists is to be answered by whether the category is in {{sockpuppet}}. I'm not sure about that, myself, though a related question is whether the other category, Suspected sockpuppets of {{{1}}}, should be kept there; I'd vote keep on that. --SPUI (talk) 05:05, 23 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- If someone has sockpuppets, document it on an evidence page. In this case, a list of sockpuppets is much more valuable than a random categorization, because on the list you can provide your evidence. This template is a troll-magnet enough without glorifying the accusations with a whole category scheme. -- Netoholic @ 20:02, 2005 Feb 26 (UTC)
- Delete for cases in general, it's too easy to abuse by simply dumping people in there. I am not familiar with the Sollog case so I won't comment or vote on that. Radiant! 21:02, Feb 24, 2005 (UTC)
