? | Things look different? You're seeing the trial of a new system for operating the CVUA. Please leave your thoughts and feedback here! |
The goal of the CVUA is to train budding anti-vandals how to better deal with vandalism. This is acheived by a one to one training system, with experienced counter vandalism specialists working with those who have an interest in the area. The three roles of the system are:
- Enrollee - any editor who is interested in learning about anti-vandalism (become one!)
- Instructor - any editor who has experience in anti-vandalism and is interested in helping enrollees (add your name!)
- Coordinator - any editor who is willing to take responsibility for making sure things run smoothly. (list yourself!)
Under normal circumstances, potential enrollees post on the enrollment page with any information decided upon. From there an instructor will volunteer to take the enrollee on. If no instructor steps forward, a coordinator informs the more likely possibilities but if none are willing, the co-ordinator explains to the potential enrollee that there is no current availability for them, the reasons why and gives the editors suggestions for the future.
Instructions
editDo not wait for anyone else to do anything. The members of the project sometimes make efforts to contact people and connect Enrollees with Instructors. However, if you wish to speed up the process, do this yourself. If you are an Enrollee who wants an Instructor, look at the status page and look for an Instructor without an Enrollee. If you are an Instructor and want an Enrollee, contact one near the top of the request list. Just do it. But please be sure to update the Instructor Status and enrollment pages, so everyone knows what is going on.
