(name redacted)
edit(name redacted) is a nine year old boy who lives in NC. He is talented at reading, being seriously funny and football. He likes the books by Rick Riordan and is known as a bookworm and a speed-reader. He is talented at math and is in the AG class at his school. Known by some as obnoxious, crazy, and a clown, he is always the center of attention. He has a little sister in the first grade.
- Hi 99.3.64.18, there is no claim of importance here, so it should not be an article in Wikipedia. If this is you, if you sign up you can create a user page. But do not give away too much information that you may regret later. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 20:37, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
- If this is actually a nine year old boy, shouldn't his name be redacted? Joefromrandb (talk) 06:37, 10 November 2011 (UTC)
- I went ahead and did it, to err on the side of caution. Please revert if I've overstepped here. Joefromrandb (talk) 06:40, 10 November 2011 (UTC)
- Fair enough, but I do not think it was written by a nine year old. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 22:28, 10 November 2011 (UTC)
- You're almost certainly right. I just figured it was better to err on the side of caution, in the rare case... Joefromrandb (talk) 00:40, 11 November 2011 (UTC)

Jason_Olen_Bishop
editWriting my first article and need some input on article I'm writing on Jason Olen Bishop from Dallas, TX
Among other things in 2006 he began to innovate a new concept of content delivery software called iSpin tm which was the precursor to Warner Brothers "Digital Copy" software.
Please give your input, suggestions.
Thanks.

- The first two references are the same press release by a company selling the product. The last reference only mentions that he works for that company, and is not an independent source. First you need to find at least two independent and reliable references to show notability. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 12:11, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
Thank you for your input.
I did found more references and added them, could you look again and see if it's better?
Thank you.

- The references still do not show notability. Some do not mention the topic at all. Others are primary refernces written by the subject. At least one is a forum post, which is not counted as reliable as anyone could make the post and say anything. Since the person did stuff in the 1940s you probably need to find newspaper articles from past decades. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 22:25, 10 November 2011 (UTC)

- There is no claim of importance, so this will not make a Wikipedia article! Graeme Bartlett (talk) 00:20, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
Chris McDonald
edit--00:08, 21 November 2011 (UTC)00:08, 21 November 2011 (UTC)~~== Chris McDonald ==
A Wiki-challenged friend has asked me to create a page on this person. To me, subject is not a strong candidate, although he has multiple refs in form of newspaper stories (which appear to be mostly food reviews). Wondering what others think. Here's a brief summary:
Chris McDonald (Christopher Corcoran McDonald, born December 22, 1978) is an American entrepreneur and the founder, chairman and CEO of Ain't Life Grand Investments, a holding company of restaurant concepts in the United States, including Mugshots Grill & Bar, Old Athens Grill and Topher's Rock 'N Roll Grill. ... Currently seven Mugshots locations dot three states with an eighth location under construction in downtown Meridian, Mississippi, due to open in March 2012.

- The problem here is that the references are not about the person Chris McDonald, but about the food or the restaurants. Unless the newspapers have significant coverage about the person, then the claim of notability is not supported. Take a look at WP:BIO to see the requirements for an article about a person.
