The Microphones studio albums

The Microphones were an American indie folk, indie rock, and experimental band, founded and fronted by Phil Elverum. The band released 4 studio albums between 1999 and 2003. Elverum later returned to the project with its final album, Microphones in 2020.

@MarioSoulTruthFan: Just like how Donda 2 (demo), Late Orchestration (live), and Can't Tell Me Nothing (mixtape) aren't included in Kanye's topic, this topic only includes studio albums.

What source/quote specifically calls Little Bird as a studio or main album? It is distinguished by being small and limited edition.
Phil Elverum himself does not consider it to be a "main" Microphones album. See [2]. Listing the "official Microphones albums", he includes the 5 studio albums above and 2 compilations. — PerfectSoundWhatever (t; c) 21:45, 27 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Phil Elverum doesn’t see Little Bird Flies Into A Big Black Cloud so much as a record as an exercise in “anti-production,” a counterpoint to his developed sound experiments. “We’re only talking about it because the Internet came around and leveled out the accessibility of everything,” he says. “It now has the same size thumbnail as all the other albums. But I like to have things available and not seem exploitative of cultivated scarcity. I still think this record is only worth 400 copies, but I also like saying, ‘Here’s everything.
