Review section
editI am nominating this featured article for review because there are missing citations, updates needed in the "Wind power density" section, a six-paragraph lede that needs to be reformatted, and perhaps updating some of the sources to higher quality sources (like replacing BBC with academic journals). There is also no mention in the article about wind's use in modern literature or religion (while it is spoken about in relation to various mythologies and its interpretation in military campaigns in the shear "History" section). Should an overview of this be added in order for the article to be comprehensive? Z1720 (talk) 13:31, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
- I've removed the wind power density section, as it partially duplicated the wind power section. Wrote the power section to avoid yearly updates. Merged two paragraphs in the lede, I think a five paragraph lede works well for this article.
- The article has good bones. A couple of citations missing, most notably in the measurement section (WikiProject TC may help?). I'm unlikely to do more, but if the article needs little push to get it over the line, please ping me. Femke (talk) 14:01, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
This article is not listed at Wikipedia:Contributor copyright investigations/WikiProject Tropical cyclones, but should have a copyvio check for all the same reasons. If someone intends to save the star, I'll do that ... otherwise, no, as it is not listed at the CCI. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 15:40, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

- Nah, I'm sorry, don't have the sources at hand, and I'm focussing my energy on a few energy-related articles. Femke (talk) 19:17, 25 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
